Hahaha! A microwaved half-bitten apple is never a good idea!

Re: The iPhone Thread

I have updated to iOS8 on the Iphone 5 and it works quite well. I like the shortcuts to phone numbers and the fact that I can now use swiftkey.

ps: did ya guys know iOS 8 requires more than 5GB space (5.7GB to be accurate)?
You need to save your SHSH blobs on Cydia for that and involves Jailbreaking your device. Since the topic of JB is not welcome in TBHP, please do a Google search. Alternatively, use tiny umbrella to save your blobs. Saving blob and restoring old iOS is slightly technical. Again do a thorough search, understand and then attempt.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Just got my Iphone 6 from Canada , FedEx was pretty quick . Gold one looks way better than others , giving those to friends

Initial impressions , Larger Display is definitely better but at the moment I am not able to handle properly due to larger size maybe will get used to , better to hold with the cover . PLUS will be much harder to manage specially the ones migrating from Apple .

thanks Gokrish. i was not aware jailbreaking is required to perform such a backup.

Any major rewrite always has some bugs, so wait for the update before installing.

Could have bought one, but never saw it, do they send out any notifications of such sale events?

Yes, if you have an Amazon.in account, you can sign up for notification of the deals of the day.

Why would you buy a 4s now? 3.5inch, way old hardware and most people would want to run the iOS8 on that?

Having said that, I have never been an Apple fanboy. Though the one thing i absolutely love is the clean design and look and feel of the phone. The specs have always been not good enough for the prices they charge. And I do not intend to buy an Iphone because it is an Iphone.
