A new bug, based on a Telugu character, in iOS 11.

11 has been such a facepalm moment for Apple.

This has been already fixed in 11.2.6 update. The update rolled out 2 or 3 weeks ago.

iOS 11.3 is out finally! Although the battery health status comes up now, not sure if Apple has dumped the news widget for India. Not appearing in my widgets selection on my SE anymore! Could someone confirm the same pl?

Cheers,
Vijay

The news widget is showing for me after the update to 11.3

Just updating as I type. Hope this really fixes the issues of battery and privacy as the update suggests. Updated the MacBook too.

Anyone experiencing crackling sound from the bottom speaker on the iPhone X specially while taking calls over the speaker?

Best,
Enigmatic

iOS 11.3 is available for download. Loads of changes - https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT208693

Guys can anyone tell me how much it costs to replace an iphone 7 screen? In the morning my iPhone fell from a rack where I was charging it after a phone came.
Are 3rd party screens any decent. Might consider them if the original one costs big money. Thanks.

You might want to read this link before getting a third party screen.

11.3 update has brought VoLTE on the iPhone. The vodafone site now mentions iPhone 6 and above as compatible device.
I tried on my family members phones and I had to change the APN settings from 'iphone' to ' portalnmms' to get it going. Now the 4G doesn't change to 3G during an incoming call.

How to do this on Airtel? I'm on iPhone SE.

iPhones have always had VoLTE. Jio runs on VoLTE only, and runs perfectly even on the iPhone 6.
The other telcos are in the process of launching VoLTE now, and may have bundled their carrier update along with iOS 11.3.

Airtel already had VoLTE for iPhones. Just go to Settings>Mobile Data> Mobile Data Options>Enable 4G and check if 'Voice& Data' both are ticked and not 'Data'

Yes, iPhones are LTE capable, however Vodafone in a few circles offered their Voice over LTE on a band which apparently wasn't activated from Apple's side and needed an OS update to get it going. This has been done post 11.3 and a carrier update. Hence my post. :)

Vodafone India is all set to introduce its Voice over LTE or VoLTE service this month. As per some of our readers across various states, Vodafone VoLTE service has already gone live, and they’re using the service. We have now learnt from our sources about the Vodafone VoLTE compatibility and roll out structure. Firstly, all VoLTE devices do not support Vodafone VoLTE by default, same as Airtel VoLTE. Cupertino giant Apple is expected to release Vodafone VoLTE support in March/April 2018, but some devices from Android manufacturers will have support for VoLTE right after the release itself.

I had changed twice the IP6+ screen in my wife phone and pulled me back by around 4.5k , Iam not sure whether its original but almost looks as in new phone ! this is in chennai .

Any of you updated 11.3 update in IP6 ? Is it the same usual story of phone getting slower or any other degraded performances ? Iam currently with 11.0.3 and quite happy. Battery life is the best I enjoy in my phone , so dont want to loose out !

I updated my phone to 11.3 as soon as I saw the description which said Beta of Battery Health based CPU optimization option available. My 3.5 years old iphone 6 was really getting slow. So updated the phone and for some reason, it helped the performance quite a bit. Its feels acceptably responsive now. I had changed my battery from outside about 3-4 months back and the battery health shows as 99% and No CPU throttling down on my phone.
