Oh yes, you're right. I'll take this to Apple :). Thank you so much. Bangalore BHPians, where is Apple located in our City?

I think your phone might be covered under service program and this problem should be rectified without paying a single rupee. |

Although if you have a trip planned to emirates, then i had much rather take this to mall of emirates store then to Indian service providers. Ensure to make a backup (preferably in itunes/finder in mac, non-encrypted) before going and depositing your device. Do keep us posted regarding the outcome.
@readers, please keep checking this link for service programs which are applicable globally.

Is it just me or has iOS 13 has made selecting where the cursor focuses on text difficult? For eg. if I type out a sentence but I want to go to a specific point in the sentence, long press doesn't allow to place the cursor where I want.

Yes I have faced this problem as well. But I'm not sure if this is app-specific or an issue with iOS at large. Whichever one, it is very annoying and I hope there's an OTA fix already in pipeline.
Cheers,
Vijay

Hi! You can try to place it by the below mentioned method:
Long Press on the Space Button on the keyboard and this should allow you to place cursor anywhere by simply swiping across the keyboard. Believe me, it is super-convenient:thumbs up.
Check demonstration:

PS: In iOS 13, they updated the keyboard with this feature and it may be preventing to place cursor by long press. However, now single tap helps place cursor too rather than a long press.

This is app specific in my experience.

Terrific! Thanks; I had no idea. This makes editing really convenient.

Plenty of iPlanet stores (and other authorized resellers) are designated service touch-points. Find one near you
here.
Thank you. I contacted Apple and they tried a few things over the phone, when none of those were working they guided me to Forum Mall iCare. Hopefully they will resolve the matter in 4 days. The experience at Apple Care is totally different than the ones abroad. For eg: it's just a kiosk and the people receiving you are disinterested like anything. Oversees they have a long conversation with you and try a few buttons/tricks before taking it in. I believe they send defective devices to Mumbai for repair work. Fingers crossed. Big thanks to roamer 012, as I was going to get an iPhone Pro Max and he saved me a bundle.

With IOS13 you can only navigate through long pressing the space bar.

:D In Mumbai, they tell us that specialised repairs/replacements happen in Bangalore.

Exactly; and probably that is correct too. Mine was also sent to Bangalore last month for a repair.

Oh yes. Same in Pune, they tell it will go to Bangalore. Probably Banglore is true destination, there are no factories of iPhone in Mumbai.
There is the factory that makes 5C, 6S, 7S, 8 etc. for emerging markets. But I doubt if repairs go to factory. I asked him the same thing, Bangalore being a tech hub why would it go to Mumbai! Maybe he is ill-informed. My neighbour got a brand new iPhone11 replacement from them, since it was having charging issues. Hope fortune favours me in this regard. But, I'm hearing about iPhones with issues of late so the quality has slipped, looks like.

Bangalore is the destination and the facility is in Whitefield area. I have spoken to a person there when he contacted me for my MBP warranty claim few years back.
