Re: The iPhone Thread

Planning to purchase the XR.
Can anybody confirm whether any Lightening to 3.5mm Stereo adaptor is available so that I can use my existing Audio Technica headphones.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I think the Lightning to 3.5mm adapter is included in the box ( or has that been discontinued??).

Purchased Two XR's and a 11Pro last year.
None of them came with a lightning to 3.5mm adapter. Afaik, Apple has never shipped one with any of their phones.

iphone 7 and 7plus used to come with a lightening to 3.5mm adapter in the box. These were the phones which first got the headphone jack removal. However, none of the successor phones got the adapter in box.

My wife has iPhone X and she did get the adapter in box (XR probably doesn't). But make sure you check reviews before you buy 3rd party ones since I have 2 cheap aliexpress ones which work well on my iPhone 5S with iOS 12 but does not on my wife's X with iOS 13. I believe apple had done something to make sure non certified ones don't work.

Used to be there.. If I remember correctly it was there in the box when I got the 7. I think they stopped it with the 8 (or X?).

Re: The iPhone Thread

Only the 7/7 Plus got it; probably because they were the first phones to not have the jack and Apple wanted to ease the transition.

I have been using the Apple OEM adapter to connect my AT headphones to the iPhone11, the headphones sound as good as expected. The adaptor had come in the box with my previous iPhone, the 7plus.

It came with my 8 too. So probably stopped with the XS.

I lost it too and the replacement was surely expensive.

I also have Auxillite which serves as a 3.5 + charge solution. There are multiple duplicates available in market also.
