I can share my thoughts, as I don’t know all the answers to your questions.

I don’t think it will overwrite old pictures based on the numbering. I have accidentally airdropped twice the same picture and it got saved twice, so similarly if there is a conflict in the image name, it should be mitigated by the software.

There are multiple informations on the image file apart from the name, geo location, time and date, etc. So, you shouldn’t be worried about overwriting the old pictures.

A quick search on the internet reveals that it would indeed restart the numbering from 0001, but create a new folder to store them (101APPLE) . So your old files should be safe.

Wanted to let everyone with the silver iPhone know that you can use micro abrasives to polish off fine to moderate defects in the finish, you can perform a 2 step correction just like with cars. I used a 1/4” coarse foam pad followed by a fine finishing pad attached to a micro rotary attachment connected to my main rotary polisher. Can also be done by hand and a microfibre towel (use a different towel for each step). Process:

1) Mask off the cameras, screen and any area you don’t want polish residue getting in.
2) Wipe down surface to be corrected with 15-20% IPA (iso propyl alcohol), this is important as it removes finger smudges and any oil film on the surface.
3) Work product in either by machine or hand (I used Menzerna 400 heavy cut)
4) Wipe off residue and inspect, repeat as many times as necessary and apply the finishing polish again by hand or machine (I used Menzerna 3000).
5) Clean reside and inspect, remove masking tape and IPA wipe again to get a perfectly clean, streak free finish.


I tried to 1 step it with a chrome polish but that was leaving some haze in the finish hence wouldn’t recommend. Note: please do not try this on a matte finish or on any other colour apart from silver as it will strip the colour. Cheers.

Does anybody know how I can divert SMS to a different number? The internet talks about a forward option in settings, but I can't seem to find it in my iPhone 6S. Also, call forwarding is absolute. I remember me doing conditional call forwarding (if no pickup) in a feature phone several years ago. Any idea?

Unsure if SMS can be forwarded at all, however to forward calls under different circumstances, open your dialpad and punch in below( and press call button to activate). Works on all phones.

To forward all calls:
to start, enter **21*number #
to stop, enter ##21#

To forward calls while you´re speaking to someone else:
to start, enter **67*number #
to stop, enter ##67#

To forward calls if you don´t answer the incoming caller within 30 seconds:

Unfortunately Whatsapp chats was the one thing that I was unable to transfer. There are paid softwares which can be of help but I chose not to do that since the data lost was not important to me personally.

As for the case and screen guard, bought them from a local store offline but the case is very similar to the Abyss Blue iPhone 13 case that Apple sells on their store.

In my previous 6s I could convert Live Photos to bounce GIFs and share over WhatsApp. Now in 12 although I can make GIFs it doesn’t let me share anymore. Every time I try says ‘this item cannot be shared, please select another item’. Any way around this issue?

Yes, checked and found about missing mmWave on iPhones apart from USA. Practically not going to lose anything as even in US coverage is restricted to large cities/ city centres. It's completely network-dependent and I don't think we are going to get this anytime soon. Although, it makes a business sense given crowded cities we have.

Yes, Taxes are extra depending on the province you buy. There's a federal GST - 5% across Canada and most provinces will have their own local GST too except Province like Alberta which has Nil. Also factor the delivery times. If you have friends or relatives, consider ordering now!

I think we had this discussion here in this thread. And it’s not only the 13; but this is prevalent since iPhone 11 series. So, anything after X, you’ll need to get your iPhone repaired from Apple only if you want everything working. And this applies to every small component. Hope someone calls this unfair practise out. A software patch can solve this issue but only if Apple wants.
