But if I may ask - why?
Why spend 900 to protect a cable when Rs 5 will do the job, and the result will be as ugly?

Not for cable. Look at the multiple uses it has. I already know of so many places i can use it.

For the cable i use a self curing tape that i bought for repairing hose pipes (always there in my jeep tool kit).

Re: The iPhone Thread

A bit OT but I just received this message yesterday.

Quote:
Apple enters ECDIS market
Technology giant Apple has ventured into the global maritime technology market with the launch of its own ECDIS system, which is named the Apple KeepWatch.

The ECDIS has been built on a ruggedised version of Apple's Mac computer hardware and will function on a customised version of the iOS mobile operating system.

The global giant has also agreed for a USD 15 million sponsored branding deal with the IMO.

The deal envisages IMO's name curtailing to 'iMO' in all official documents and on its website from July 2016 to July 2017, in recognition of Apple's iPhone and iPad range.
Images for representation purposes only. These are not the Apple ECDIS.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I saw that Apple is offering iPhones under "Corporate scheme". Any idea what Corporate scheme means and who all are eligible for that? Do we need to provide any document and if so, what?

You just need to contact them on the email id for more details. Offer is valid only on bulk lease schemes.

I have used Sugru - available on Amazon India. MSeal and Araldite set hard, which may be a problem by itself. MSeal definitely breaks off after some time in this application.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Hi,

Please recommend some good app for the camera, something which you have used.

Basically looking at not much fancy stuff, maybe something which could make some nice collages, stuff like that.

Tried to install some of the free apps, but the ads in them put me off.

Please suggest.

Regards
Shailesh

Re: The iPhone Thread

Two of colleagues who shifted recently to apple and are using Iphone 6 models, are complainign about one issue. That their deviced randomly place calls to a contact from the ones saved on the phone, when according to them the phone is in idle mode. For one of the colleagues, that number dialled was the same one over and over again across many days and still continues to do so. The other colleague's phone is randomly selevting. In both cases the numbers are usualy selected from names starting with A, possibly as they would be the ones at the top of the list. Is this a known issue with the Iphone 6 or are they both missing out on some setting since they are new to apple.

I haven't heard of this. Ask both of them if they have installed any new app, which could be the culprit. Starting to delete apps related to contacts or dialing could provide some sort of solution. Or a factory reset and installing apps one by one.

Guys, I need your advice. Thinking of buying iPhone 6s for the Mrs. Even after the recent price hike, I am getting a 16gb, rose gold colour model for 44k. And my guy has agreed to adjust the price of her 2.5 year old Xperia ZL in the deal. Is this a good deal? How much discount can I expect for the Xperia?

seems a normal price. I see it on paytm for about 46k. I just purchased from paytm the 128Gb for 65k+ and got 8k cash back. Received the phone in two days and no issues with the item. This is for my brother who lives in KL and it is cheaper here. On the color you can go for a colored tempered glass, which in my opinion is a worthy investment. Costs about 300rs for front and back and you get this in many colors. The iPhone Thread-imageuploadedbyteambhp1461858506.158201.jpg
