Most of these rogue installs of iOS 11 like the one you reported are for OTA installs.
Appreciate the response guys. Will try the same.

I am sorry I have made an error in the cashback offer by Citibank.
I visited another store and was informed that Rs 10,000 was only for the initial batch of iPhone X and for subsequent batches, the Citibank cashback is Rs 8,000. Have not called up Citibank Customer care to verify.

Also another surprising thing is every store I walk into to appraise my iPhone 7 plus, drops its price by Rs 5,000. It was 42,000, then became 37,000 and the store I enquired at today says its Rs 32,000. Maybe they are playing me for a fool, I hope not.

Before you go in for the cashback and buyback on your old iPhones, please verify the best price you can get and then take a call.

It seems that quite a few stores are having stock of the 64 gb iPhone X in space grey. The 256 gb space grey variant and the silver variant in both 64 & 256 gb are flying off the shelf as per my enquiries at various stores.

Check for estimated selling price on cashify, sahivalue and atterobay or similar sites and try listing it on olx/quikr taking a screenshot of their estimate ( if it is close to your expected price). I have sold quite a few on olx/quikr but it was mostly after 3~4 years when the price was below 10,000/-

Thank you for this suggestion. I will definitely search on the sites you have mentioned and hope they can match the price I am looking for.

My iPhone 5S screen has developed a pink tinge with white borders. I searched the internet and this seems to be a common issue. However official responses has been varied. While some apple centers immediately replaced the device, some replaced the screens while others "failed to see a problem". Has anybody here faced a similar issue? And did anybody fix this in warranty?

Updated my 7 couple of days ago, didn't notice any change in battery charging or draining times.

Also got Silver SE 32 GB for my son from Flipkart. Costed me Rs. 16399 (including SBI cash back offer). Looks great value for money at this price. Purchased on 8th Dec and got delivery today, not sure why they took such a long time.

Not sure why the phone felt that way or so I presume. Will check again for couple of days. By the way the update popped up only a day or two ago but curious as to how did you update a week ago? Does it happen in batches from apple?

Sir you did not read my post properly I guess. I got the update only couple of days ago.
Not sure of batch updates though, but that does make sense.

I imagine Apple pushed out updates all at once. You can see them the moment they are available if you manually check for updates (in Settings).

But they will "pop-up" only when certain conditions are met: min. 50% battery, connected to wifi and plugged in a power source.

I read the post. Since I am new to apple I keep fiddling with the gadget almost all the time😀. On checking for updates, the moment it popped up I brought it up here. Hope you see why I asked that question.

This makes sense. Wonder how many such conditions does apple has setup in the background for every task within the gadget.

Nevertheless the phone is working flawlessly even after updating the last few ones.

Atlast, after iOS 11.2.1, my iPhone 7 Plus is running as slick as it did when it came out of the box with 10.2. The battery life is still relatively poorer, but it is decent enough for me not to crib.
