I have two - and I bought two of these cases from Amazon - received them yesterday. They're only available in Black, but hey, it does not matter to me. The case is grippy, thick enough, rubbery enough, fits well; and I am not unhappy with it. The good thing is, I got them for 499 each.

Re: The iPhone Thread

The bluetooth and wi-fi symbols on my i Phone 6 has greyed out. I tried a reset of network settings and the whole phone. But the problem still persists. Anyone else has faced this issue ?

It is a Hardware issue.

You need to try your luck with after market repair shops, if they can open and clean and/or perform chip level repair for the antennas.
Do a google search and you will find solutions like heating the phone and refrigerating it , etc.

Else an authorised Apple shop will charge and give you a new phone ( same model, capacity, colour)

Re: The iPhone Thread

Facing a peculiar problem with my iPhone X running on 12.1.4 now. My network completely disappears and the only way to get it back is to erase the phone and then set it up as a new (from the last saved backup). Has anyone else experienced this? If yes, so what is the permanent solution to this?

Try if you can get one from otterbox, they are the best in business.

Re: The iPhone Thread

My wife's 4 year old iphone6 16GB was having battery trouble, it was getting discharged very quickly. Authorized Apple dealer quoted 3.5 K for the battery replacement and as the phone had a crack on screen, they told that there is 100% chances that screen would go kaput during battery replacement. The replacement of complete display and screen was quoted at 12,000.

She was not comfortable spending this kind of money on a rather old phone, she checked with local shop, the total cost inclusive of cracked display replacement was quoted at 1600. She went ahead with it. Phone seems to be performing OK as of now. These local shops seem like equivalent of FNG for mobile repairs.

I will update here in case some issue is faced with this.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Apple gets the message, slashes iPhone XR prices from Friday

Read more at:
//economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/68714546.cms?utm_source=contentofinterest&utm_medi um=text&utm_campaign=cppst

64 GB will be sold at Rs 59,900 as compared to Rs 76,900 earlier, while the 128 GB will be sold at Rs 64,900 from Rs 81,900 earlier and the 256 GB model will be sold at Rs 74,900 from Rs 91,900 earlier.

Still cheaper to buy from USA and ask someone to bring it along.

Re: The iPhone Thread

It's honestly not a bad price, considering the HDFC cashback deal as well, as per the article. The 64GB and 128GB would work out to 54K and 58K respectively from tomorrow onwards. I have been window shopping for a while. I was waiting for the iPhone X to go for the 65K levels like it did during the diwali Amazon sale. Sadly, doesn't seem to be happening again.

I am in 2 or 3 or 4 minds, whether to stick with the 6S or to buy a refurbished iPhone X from US Apple store( the 64GB is for 770 USD) or to buy the XS ( for dual sim capability) from US Apple Store.
The XR doesn't fancy me with no force touch ( which I use) and the large size with which I am not comfortable, but for those interested, it is really a good deal now.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Won't the other models become cheaper as well to make the price distribution justifiable? Waiting to upgrade to iPhone 8 (from a 6 mainly due to the smaller size than the X range).

Does the eSim work if the phone is purchased from US? For apple watch the eSim had issues when brought from US. Is there no such restriction with iphone?

Re: The iPhone Thread

The US XS works just fine here. I have it on Jio as well as BSNL. The US Apple watch has limited LTE bands I guess.

Re: The iPhone Thread

If any know person is selling a silver iPhone X in Mumbai, do DM me. Water damage is the only thing I am worried about in buying from used phone dealers, as the same can't be verified immediately.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Soon the Apple iPhone will be made in India. Taiwanese company Foxconn will make the Iphone X at Chennai.

If the prices reduce by half then the other brands will have a run for their money.
