Thanks Mi10, this one seems very good, the application technique is really the easiest as you mention. However, this is not available for the Pro Max.

Muvtec is the one which the Apple store has in stock for 1500 rupees in case anyone is interested.

Cheers

Re: The iPhone Thread

Cyborg, if you have access to any station, there are hordes of stalls of these 50 Rs 'TAMPER or various other spelling iterations' screen protector stalls. They have a 5D Glass which costs Rs 100. It is end to end glass, with curved edges in black, which has been doing wonders for my phones.

Isn't the screen of X/XS/Pro the same size? If yes, then screen protection should be compatible.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Guys quick help - my iphone7 screen has cracked quite bad and need suggestions on the cost involved in replacing it via apple care or 3rd party like ifix services. Any comments will be much appreciated to decide on my next steps.

My mother's 7 was dropped and the screen shattered - The apple service center quoted 18k for the new screen. Hence, we decided to junk the phone and get a new one, probably an 8 since she doesnt have the necessity or interest to buy the flagship. Did not want to get it done at a third party center since I dont believe anyone gets access to genuine replacement screens and no matter what you do, you still get an aftermarket screen which will never come close to the OE display.

If your phone is new, then consider getting it replaced with the original else if its quite old, then I would suggest a replacement.

I have an iPhone 5S whose touch became bad (not shatter etc). Obviously I had no inclination to go to genuine apple service center. Went to a local shop and got it replaced for 1200 rupees.

And then my brother drops the phone yesterday and screeen shattered. Mostly will get it replaced again there only for 1200 or so.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Has anyone felt the battery discharge has increased after the latest updates?

I have a 6S+ which shows battery health at 82%, but noticed that it seems to drop quickly compared to before the updates, when used for browsing and videos frequently.

3rd party is more than enough, should be under 5k at ifixit.

Aux port? or headphone jack 3.5 mm? if so that is what I have mentioned. A pictorial representation of how it will all work out is as per the quote by Ritesh.

I checked with ifixit on a query and was told they do NOT replace only the glass. The replace the glass, touch and display. I understand its a combo. Now my question is are these genuine? is it worth the risk compared to what apple care would do? My phone is 2 years old!

They also mentioned that if i need to have the sealant for the water resistance, i have to take it to their Indiranagar store else they can come home and fix it without the sealant!

Re: The iPhone Thread

Guys, So, what do you think about pixel 4 and 4XL?
My cousin is coming to india from USA and there is $100 amazon gift card deal as a part of pre-order offer. I am more inclined towards the larger pixel because of larger battery.
I currently use iphone 6s Plus and i am willing to switch to android and keep my iphone as a secondary phone (currently i have android as a secondary phone).
only bummer is pixel 4 does not have an ultra-wide camera.
Also iphone 11 is a No for me only because of that LCD or else i would have bought it and iphone 11 pro for 256gb is 1150 + tax which is simply very expensive for me.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Update to the latest release of 13.1.3 which fixes this issue.

I updated yesterday and phone seems to work much faster and my battery drain seems to have been curbed

No, this won't work. DACs when connected in reverse do not become ADCs magically.
You meed a Analog to digital converter build into your coverter

Check this out. This is the only one I could find but this will also connect to usb c port and not to 3.5 mm jack https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=...3D323887971090
