Something about Singapore keeps batteries lasting longer.

The above could be the case, we almost never have the issue of low signal/searching for network even in underground metros. And I always have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on.

Is this for real? 27k for iPhone 11 screen? I just saw one more link (Gadgets 360 IIRC) where they say it costs 14k. Considering the fact that 11 is now Made/Assembled in India, can anyone please share the approx. cost of screen replacement on the 11?

I shattered my Honor Play screen and this has made me a bit apprehensive regarding phone purchases.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I finally switched to an iPhone after 10 years on Android. Mine is the iPhone 12 128gb variant. I traded in my old OnePlus 6 128g, which fetched me an exchange value of Rs 9250. So far so good.

Guys

In the ongoing Republic day sale on Amazon, iPhone 11 64gb is for 49k and 128gb for 54k. Is it a good deal and worth going ahead? My primary use will be to click pictures of my 1 yr old baby. Currently using One Plus 3 which is around 4.5 yrs old and has a very underwhelming camera.

Thanks!

It's a decent deal, was also selling for the same during Diwali sale IIRC. I don't use the 11 but I've never heard anyone say anything bad about it.

Re: The iPhone Thread

iPhone seems to hold the price very well. I dont see the 6k hdfc cashback for iPhone 12. Just the 2k discount on Black 64 gb variant.
I am not in urgent need of phone. So looking to buy when there is a good deal. Does anybody know in which month apple/amazon offers a good deal for the current generation phone? ( Based on the past historical price pattern). I know there will be good discounts once the next generation phone is launched. But I dont want to wait till then.

The best Apple deals are given during the Big Billion Day sale. iPhone 11 may touch 39-40k during the 2021 Big Billion Day Diwali sale in my opinion. I missed buying the iPad 2018 during the BBD sale 2019. Had to pay much higher price during new year sale.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Current gen Apple products dont get much offers. The first actual offer on iPhone 12 will be around BBD sale only. But iPhone 13 will be around by that time. Since you mentioned that you dont want to wait that long, the current offers seem good enough.

Re: The iPhone Thread

HDFC Cash Back of Rs 6000 ( Rs 5000 for 12 Pro models) has been on since launch. Further they are offering additional Rs 3000 as Exchange Bonus as a Republic Day offer. I keep on seeing the ads for the same, every 3rd day on either ET or ToI front page, making me believe that sales have been sub-par. I picked up the 12 128 before Diwali for the same HDFC CB offer which is ongoing.( I still haven't received the Cashback on my card)

That's right, no office difference between now and Diwali offer. Besides, they have no HDFC cash back offer on the credit cards on Amazon, Flipkart seems to have it, however FK price is 1000 more than Amazon.

For anyone interested, I went to Maple store near my house yesterday and they told me of a buy back offer on devices where, if their suggested buy back value works out to more than 5k on your existing device, there's an additional bonus of 3k. So effectively, the buyback discount becomes 8k. My One Plus 3 was valued at 3.6k and hence not eligible for the additional 3k.

Re: The iPhone Thread

My 7 plus needs a battery replacement. Any idea how much downtime I can expect? Will Apple keep the phone for the entire day since it is both my official and personal phone and cant afford or risk leaving it behind with them.

Call and check if they have the battery in stock. If they do, it'll take probably a minimum of 3-5 hours. Also, they insist on factory resetting the phone before you hand it over to avoid data misuse issues.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Got the iPhone XR 128 GB White for my mom through Flipkart. They had a few offers which gave 4000 off of their listed price making it a nice deal for us at INR 40,999/-.

- Ordered a greencase for it.
- Solimo screen guard from amazon.
- A lightening to headphone jack converter too.
