Re: Call Recording?

How do we enable call recording in iPhone 11? Is it provided by the iOS OR do we have to install an app?

Please advise.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I upgraded to 14.4 on my 2020 SE. The update took long and the phone rebooted twice but no problems now.

I dont think o we have any call recording allowed by default in IOS. I used an app called call Recorder which works fine.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Apple shipped 90.1 million iPhones in Q4 2020, the largest number ever shipped by any vendor in the history of the smartphones in a single quarter.

After trying everything, I took the phone to Airtel shop. They checked and said that it was due to the SIM getting internally damaged. Funny this happened during the update. Now everything is fine.

After a bit of a delay, it’s finally here folks!

iPhone 12 Pro, Pacific Blue in all its glory.

I must say, the wait was definitely worth it! What a beautiful phone this is. This is a SIGNIFICANT step up from my iPhone 7.
The huge screen itself is a big plus.

However, I will need a bit of time to get used to this size as my IP7 was just perfect for single handed use and stuff.

The phone came with iOS 14.2.1 version. I shall however hold on before updating to 14.4, as the reviews aren’t all that positive. Anyway, I will be missing out on only the ProRAW feature which isn’t a deal breaker as such.

The camera normally clicks such beautiful images.

I have ordered the Spigen Alignmaster Tempered glass and a clear case from Amozo. Hoping to be delivered by today.

Thank you to all you guys for your inputs and quick replies which helped me with my purchase. Much appreciated.

Congratulations on the 12 Pro Ash! Do update to 14.4 immediately as it’s supposed to fix a security flaw which may be used by hackers.

Anyone who has not updated the software to 14.4 please do it; Apple has recommended the update on an urgent basis. Click on the link below for details.

I have updated my 11 and my Wife’s 8 Plus to 14.4 and all is well.

Cheers

The back panel (glass) of my iPhone XR is shattered. How much will it cost to replace?

A ballpark figure would be Rs 25000/-. It is as close to making you contemplate buying a new XR altogether.

Re: The iPhone Thread

An impulse buy, a very expensive one at that. Traded my 14 month old OnePlus 7T Pro for a iPhone 12 Pro - 256gb Pacific Blue.

First Apple product after a 4 month tenure with iPhone 8Plus back in 2017-18. All set up and ready to experience the latest gadget.

Congrats on your new purchase Krish!
I can tell you, 12 Pro is a beautiful piece of tech by Apple. Have been using it for a week now & I am simply loving it.

This phone is a significant upgrade for those using anything prior to the 8 / 8+ (included).

A piece of advise though: Please invest in the Spigen tempered guards. They make a world of a difference compared to the cheap ones available online. I generally used to spend not more than 250/- on my tempered glass (IP7). But thought of going for the Spigen with the 12 Pro & it did make a hugh difference. It’s 99% close to the feel of the actual phone screen.

On a side note, is anyone experiencing the following issues that are associated with the 12 Pro / Max series.
1. Yellowish display
2. Green tint
3. Display panel gap.

Congratulations Krish. That’s a decently quick sell off for the OP7T Pro and more so since you jumped over again from Android to iOS.

You have mentioned it as an impulse buy which would be easier to understand if it was for the OP8 or if you remained in the Android world.

Any particular reason for the OS shift or you just caved in due to the looks and colour of the 12 Pro Pacific Blue

Cheers

Re: The iPhone Thread

Cyborg - No particular reason other than trying out iOS again. Got bored of Android. Android is more suitable for my needs and iPhone will be the only Apple product I'll use. I just hope I don't get bored and sell it off like I did my 8Plus, because it's just not reasonable to do so in India.

Ashvek- I did notice a slight sharpness at the place where the display begins. Not sure if its a panel gap. Disappeared with the case though. Never used tempered guards on any phone and will neither use 1. Will limit myself to just a case. All my phones have been brilliantly maintained till date and hopefully, this one will be too.

A query. On my Androids, I had something called a work profile. Switching on that would make me online on my work apps on the phone. Getting offline was easy with that. I dont see that option on the iPhone. Is there any easy way to appear offline on my work apps?

Re: The iPhone Thread

Hey guys,

My iphone 8 plus charger stopped working. I have been using my wife’s xiaomi phone charger ( with lightening cable plugged to usb) It seems to charge fine. Any long term issue using a different brand charger?

I am wondering if i should purchase Rs 1800 iphone charger or rather spend Rs 500 on xiaomi fastcharger.

Edit: Googling around, it seems like it is safe to use.

Yeah. Been using Xiaomi charger for my 6s Plus for over 4 years. The battery capacity is at 74%, which is average for a 4+ year old iphone.
