Actually apple has discontinued the iphone XR and these are the last few units being sold by third party sellers. The prices I have quoted are without the bank offers. The iphone SE is the same price as last year.

I would suggest going with the 20w Apple charger brick. I had two of those to charge 4 Apple devices (3 iPhones and an iPad, one of those came with the iPad Air). We also had an old charger that came with the XR, which is best used for overnight charging. Just got one for 20w charger yesterday because my wife moved to the 13 pro max and so don’t want the family queueing up for charging phones

Re: The iPhone Thread

Don't go for the higher wattage charger. Use Apple original 20W. You plug any apple, it controls the voltage automatically. And its the safest option (recommended by them). Don't take a risk with charger costing Rs. 1800 Vs a phone that costs so much more. Buying a charger is reality Apple has imposed on us, and we have to live with it

Amazon Great Indian Festival (October 3 onwards)

iphone XR: 32999
iphone 11: 3x999(not revealed yet)

The iphone 12 at the said price is a really great VFM considering the improvements it had over the iphone 11(the OLED screen,5G). The iphone xr though outdated can be used as a good second phone.
The iphone 12 mini deal has not been revealed yet, However it may be in the range of 40-45k
are you sure Flipkart released the price for 12. When I last check only SE price was listed. Anyway at 50-55k, iPhone 12 is an excellent buy.

I am getting 13 Pro from US. Any good case options. I see spigen has few.

Promotion Savings will be based on the combined value of invoice(s). Maximum of two (2) Promotion Products per purchaser. Product(s) may ship separately. I think its still makes sense to consider the BBD sale if anyone looking for iphone 12 else if no hurry or budget not issue, definitely go for 13 line-ups hands down.

Before BBD kicks in thought of checking out the mini sizewise as I have heard lot of people mention its kinda tiny. Well for my palms it indeed is.

Post that checked out the 12 and that felt a little large Am assuming due to the flatter sides the surface area feels a little more than usual slim 6.1 inchers

Let’s see what’s the offer price in BBD. Mini is out of contention due to the size. I prefer compact phones(pixel 4a is perfect size for me) but the mini is too compact for my requirement. So will have to settle for 12 if I decide to take the plunge

Re: The iPhone Thread

Picked up an SE to try iOS, for a few reasons.

1. Don't know if I can live with it, so no point getting something more expensive.

2. Need fingerprint authentication. Can't keep typing in passwords because FaceID is useless with a mask on.

3. Form factor and weight. I don't want a large, heavy phone. My Android already is all that . I want to try the smallest phone I can use without compromising usage.

Re: The iPhone Thread

So initially the price for iPhone 12 was 48999(64GB), 53999(128GB) and 12mini was 36999INR. But everytime I tried to book, it threw an error. This is what I got while trying to book the 12(128GB) at initial sale price.

The iPhone Thread-62ea93dc75ca4cdfa9195597094991df.jpeg

At 1AM it was made available but by the time I clicked on buy, the price had increased by 1k each. Did anyone get it at the launch price? Or was it a glitch in the system which showed the prices lower and that’s why we weren’t able to book?

Finally booked the iPhone 12 (128GB) for around ~52000INR. I have used axis flipkart card so was wondering do I get the 5% cashback as well? Seller is SuperComnet which has a 4.6* rating. They apparently will open the package at your doorstep during delivery to check for damages. Hoping for a hasslefree experience.

Also booked the 20W Apple C type charger for some 1760INR. Hate this new trend of no charger brick with phones

Hi sir,
Does one need to have a Flipkart membership to see the price of INR 52,000 reflected. Whenever I open the app to check it always shows the original price without any offers.

I managed to get it at the launch price at around 12:35 AM, just kept refreshing and trying and eventually it worked.

You need to have a flipkart plus membership to get the offers today. For non plus members the sale starts tomorrow.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Guys, whoever is buying the new iphone 13 i hope you have taken up the additional warranty. Seem apple has put software locks to prevent 3rd party repair of screens and what not.

Unfortunately that’s the case with iPhone 11 and 12 as well. Something as common as a display change will brick the Face ID, True Tone, auto brightness etc and the phone will display a message for the rest of its life. Same goes for the battery or even the vibrator or any other part you name. Unless the parts are paired to rest of the phone by some Apple software, this will be the case even with the genuine spares.

So much of bs of environment goals and all that Apple dishes out for removing the charger and earphones from the box; one will need to throw away the phone once official support for your model ends! Save the environment

Re: The iPhone Thread

I got the iPhone 12 mini for my daughter in July for 53k after exchange of 9k on iPhone 7. Saw the same phone, after all discounts without exchange, last night past midnight for 39k on FK and for 35k factoring in current exchange value...

Ah, I tried till 12:15AM and left it. Retried around 1AM when the cost had already gone up by 1k. So did you order some cover yet? Which card did you use? Am wondering if the standard Axis flipkart 5% unlimited discount is still applicable on this purchase or not. Can’t help, Dil maange more

Any reviews on Spigen/Ringke transparent covers? Some reviews state they turn yellowish within a couple of months. Is that so? Am looking for transparent silicon cover.

I was also on the verge of giving up, but it just worked randomly on one of the attempts. I used an SBI card. Don't have an axis or ICICI card so couldn't avail any card discounts.
For the case I have bought this spigen one.
