MMI Reverse Camera (works with VX240) Rs 1800

Visited CROMA they have 2 Models of Satguide
1. Satguide Moov 560 Screen 4.3 inches Rs 4995
2. Satguide Moov 200 PND Screen size 3 Inches Rs 6495

I am confused between MMI & Satguide.
Please advise which one to buy.
If your requirement is GPS alone then MMI VX140S would be an excellent choice. Additional A/V features in VX240 is of poor quality.

I have been using MMI 140s and I am mostly happy with this device.

I do not see any update links for SatNav - Garmin. Maybe it has something to do with the size increasing since the current one is on 2GB! I think I will wait till August/Sept to contact them. What I understand is that while minor updates keep coming the major one will be only in August or so.

Re: The GPS/Maps Discussion Thread (Dedicated Satnav, Smartphones, Tablets, etc)

I am looking to procure a PND for myself. I am specifically asking for recommendations on which unit to get. Should I get a Garmin unit and get either the MMI maps or the Satnav maps? Or should I get the MMI VX140? I am more inclined towards the Garmin unit as it allows me the freedom to use any map and not be tied to using a specific map provider. If this should be the way to go, which Garmin unit is recommended? I don't want it for music or photos or bluetooth. Just navigation. However, it should allow the recording of tracks for future reference.

Thanks in advance for the recommendation.

Will you be buying it in India or in US? Choice/cost both depends on that. Units in India come with bill and warranty, units purchased from US are cheaper.

I registered and downloaded the file.
The installation is not happening. It says "there's a problem parsing the package".
What does that mean? why is it happening ? and how to troubleshoot ?

Kindly read the posts that follow on that topic. The problem is due to incorrectly downloaded apk. You need to download the 5mb apk that works correctly. The resolution and links to the correct apk are posted in the following posts to my above links on that topic.

Do the GPS maps show the new 4-laned highways?

I don't know if this topic has already been discussed but do the current GPS maps show the new 4-laned highways like GQ and EW etc? How dependable are they? Am planning a trip to Rajasthan from Calcutta in October and was wondering if the Garmin will suit my needs.

I was thinking of the Nuvi 1460 and it comes with a preloaded map for India which is sold by Navteq IIRC.

Yesterday I tried Sygic Aura v11, it was excellent, there are 3D buildings for India maps, Chennai had only less but Bangalore had lot of 3D buildings. It was very user friendly, yet to test the navigation completely.
