But make sure that they really have "servicing only" on their menu. It should'nt happen that the technician opens up the system, finds everything in working order, hence simply closes it and charges Rs.500 for home visit.
Otherwise, if you are comfortable, get some known electronics shop guy to service it in your presence. Shoud'nt take more than 1 hour. That's what I did last sunday for getting my old Yamaha stereo amp serviced, and the guy very happily accepted the 100 bucks I offered.

Sure Anurag! Yes there is a dedicated Sony servicing center in Bangalore as I heard from many, so its just a matter of time to find out and get it done.

I know one on 100ft Road, Indiranagar. From Domlur flyover if go toward CMH Road, its in between - on left side - just 200meters before DASS. I don't remember the cross # now.

Yea Buddy ! I think its some where near the signal stop between the Domlur flyover and the CMH road Signal stop. Thanks for the pointer.
