I find the site a superb idea, since
1) Its easy to show someone what your taste in music is like
2) helps you find people with similar tastes
3) find new artists based on who you like now
4) can be used as a free and unlimited net radio.

heck, last week i was messaged by one of my favourite guitarists thanking me, and he mailed me his last album! :D

was curious if any other team bhpians use the same , and what their ID's are

My favorite used to be pandora. but they are blocked to non US users

A lot of the artists I listen to aren't listed because I listen to a lot of online radio (mostly AH.FM and a private station run by a friend) and Audioscrobbler doesn't work with streams.

Used to use Last.FM. There was this Pandora + Last.FM mashup that I used to use regularly. Been off online music since Pandora was blocked. Haven't taken the effort to look for workarounds either. I too preferred Pandora to Last.FM, but the mashup gave the best of both worlds.

I dont listen to last fm, but I use it to find similar artists while I'm listening to my itunes library.
@greenhorn- have added you. I am interested ins some of your fav artists, but the songs that I like from them are few and far between.

btw, i dont listen to much music on last.fm. almost all the records of the songs I've listened to are from my foobar /amarok
