How to create menus for xvid/ divx files

Hi,

I have so many divx , xvid files which I can watch on my pc. Now what i want to do is put them in DVD and watch on standalone player. If I burn a data DVD I am able to watch them. But What I want to do is create a menu system ( just like normal dvd ) . Is there any way/ free tool which can help in this? ( My player is divx ultra certified , philips )

I suggest you convert them to a regular DVD.
DVD Fick is an excellent free software tool to do that.

Converting to DVD means re-encoding the divx files again which is a time and CPU consuming task.

Last year I did some basic googling and found out that it is not possible to add menus or chapters to divx files.
If someone can prove me wrong, I will be more than happy as I want to add chapters to my divx movies.
