The same SMS also says that this is a limited period offer. Not sure when it expires. So enjoy while it lasts.

Moving to 3g in airtel is just a sms away. You send 3g to 121 and the next minute you are on 3g, this is how i got connected to 3g. But looking at the data plans, i was very disappointed, still i wanted to feel it. SO tried subscribing to the minimum 10mb for Rs.8 plan, but did not go through, so ditched it after 2 attempts. I am always on the 2GB for Rs.98 plan. So i started using this one, but found it to be suddenly very very fast. BTW, i am doing all this on my Nokia 5230, not connected to the PC.

Edge itself is pathetically reliable , let them get that sorted out in the first place .3g reliability and its pricing is a joke , those who get caught in the hogwash will suffer .It would take atleast one year for prices and network to stabilize .

Tethering working fine. Even today i had problem with 3G connection in HSR, customer care called to ask for feedback and i have shared the same.

Ravin, this is the time to switch because your present plan gets converted to 3G at no extra cost, just don't subscribe to any 3g plans.

5 days on, no 3G still - ccomplaint made to be resolved by tomm!

I am on 3G since yesterday, took a few corporate emails back and forth.

Ajmat did you turn on the 3G/HSPA function in your new phone? and did you add the APN airtelgprs.com ??

I was in Pune for a couple of days, and I was getting 3G signal on Tata Docomo.

Hi, Is anyone using Airtel 3G in iPhone4. what is the settings that needs to be done in the handset? I sent sms and i'm getting 3G symbol but internet is not working.

DOCOMO has 3G active since quite sometime now, I have been using it since 3 months in Karnataka. 3 cities, bangalore, mangalore, and udupi-manipal are covered.
