Too expensive? What do they usually go for?

About a 45-minute drive.

I checked at Alfa (Irla), and the Aspire One's selling for 17.4K
An authorized Acer dealer is asking 18.9K

BTW, I am in two minds between the Aspire One and another brand, MSI Wind. This one's selling for 14.8K at Alfa.

Msi wind is an excellent product. I couldn't locate one in delhi.

MSI and Asus are the ones who started this segment.

So, is it safe to go ahead and get the MSI Wind? It's the MSI Wind U90.

Guys, I sold my Acer Aspire One today. Didnt use it at all somehow, maybe was just lazy. But the little fella is sold today. (through team-bhp classifieds within 12 hours of posting, lol)

I may buy another one, more high end. Maybe the new Sony (P series I think) Looks fab! But ONLY if I need it this time, else I will have to sell that too.

Enjoy the little fella, fellow-tbhpian!

I'm still in two minds between the Acer Aspire One & the MSI Wind U90.

What's better VFM?

Not sure about VFM. But Acer is the sensible choice. Not sure if MSI has a decent service backup in India.

Even if Acer is a little bit extra, pay for the peace of mind and resale.

Try Asus. I think Asus is better but slightly more expensive than the Acer.

Asus eee pc 4gb model with 7in display and linux o/s could now be had for 8-8.5K.
Prices have come down drastically as the model itself is 2yrs old . Finding a new one for sale itself is difficult but i think its worth to have one as a go-anywhere lappy for that price.
I myself enjoy the protbality of this little linux demon.

btw, this eee pc for that price is a very good choice for car pc projects.
It takes in very low voltage(9.5 v only ) and has a very small form factor.

Any reason for you to dispose of the aspire one buddy ? You hardly kept it with you for a month as I remember !! My 3 year old is behind aspire one in the house, he thinks anything small is for him. So, its tough to do anything on it when he is awake !

Hey one of my friends got hold of a Lenovo s9 for only around 15-16k (don't remember exactly) from nehru place. Full warranty and stuff.

80gb hdd, 512mb ram (upgraded to 2.5gb for just rs 1100) and linux (running windows 7 now)

Normal features like wifi, webcam etc

Neat deal, huh ?
