I have recieved some emails/PMs offering help.
Thanks guys.

I've sent emails to some who had offered help in Nokia support forums and other cellular discussion boards.

I hope for the best.

a friend suggested--
try mobile9.com or dotsis.com, look for a password finder for your phone proabably seires 60 3rd edition . put the card in the phone ,instal the software on the phone it ll find the password and you can then remove the password .

Hmmm..
Yes. It is absolutely round and it spins great! So much that I've lost any idea I had about my operations here, many contacts and it's all in dizzy now! :(

Searched many online sites including those mentioned here. Sent desperate emails to many. None has worked yet.
Like a rude virgin nub, my card refuse to open!

Now, I am back in Lagos (Nigeria) for another 5 days or so.
Should I try my luck with some mobile expert who can hack into my card?
What do you guys think?

Blink. Blink.. Blink... :)

This may be the only option right now. But do not leave your card with him. Get it done in front of your eyes only. If he says not possible and asks to leave your card overnight, forget it.

Zak, have you tried connecting the phone (with the memory card inside) to the laptop using the data cable + PC suite combo? Does it still ask you for a password?

Phone's recognition of the memory card is limited to the password prompt and nothing else.
So, Pc suite doesn't seem to be helpful. It gives back a 'memory card not accessible' error!

Any other innovative ideas guys?

Zakko,

Did u try the default password, four zero's?

Yes!
But it didn't work either. :(

The remote lock feature is the only bug available to unlock the card thru the phone it seems. But I've tried it a few times and it didn't work.
Maybe it works only with cards which have no password set but gets locked by default when this option is enabled.

Somebody has promised to unlock the card once I reach Kerala after taking a look at the encryption system used. I think that's the only method left to try now. :crying:

Sorry man, Thats all I can think of with my vast knowledge :-) Hope things will get sorted for you...

what card is it? i mean mmc, sd, mini sd , micro sd??

will this help.

S60Tips.com How to Unlock Password-protected Memory Card?

but its for mmc and symbian based phones

sorry bro, I checked a lot and it seems there is no solution for such a problem. Only option is to use the clip to format the card, but no way to recover the data,

Well I don't know if this will work. But, I've once tried to clone a disc and then read it by binary data. It's gonna be very tedious but it might work. Try it if that works.

Clone disk option sounds good. Will try it once I reach home.
Some questions though:
Which Clone softwares are able to make raw copies of memory cards?
What's the procedure to make my computer recognise the card instead of the stupid password prompt?
Any tips other than the normal procedures of a cd/dvd cloning?

Thanks! :)

which type of card is it?
