urgent help needed: can the deleted data be retrieved back in the PC?

last night by mistake I deleted a folder from the hard disk containing some important data without enabling the recycle bin. I wanted to know can that folder be recovered by any trick?

I don't have any backup.

use undelete.exe, it can list down files which are still stored on windows. Dont shut down your machine till then.

sorry, forgot to post the link, you can google it.
I could get 1 link but could not check as such sites are barred at office:
UNDELETE.EXE - PC Advice

Paaji , first of all do not copy or write anything on that partition. then run pc inspector file recovery on that partition and recover files on another partition or pen drive.

Without enabling recycle bin? Do you mean you did a Shift + Delete?

Anyway, I have also used PC inspector in the past. Don't write any more data till you haven't recovered the folder. I assume that the recovery is also dependent on what percentage of your concerned hard drive is in use. i.e. if it is close to full, your chances of getting all the data are lower. I have also come across many corrupt files when recovering using PC Inspector.

check this simple utility:
Restoration Freeware download and review - file undelete utility from SnapFiles

The best thing about this is that it is small, and requires no installation.
This ensures that there is no overwriting over the data sectors that hold the deleted data.

As others mentioned, its fairly easy to retrieve that data.

Make sure:
1. You are not installing too many software packages
2. You are not copying large amount of data
