When did you purchase this Components ? Excellent choice of equipments there. But the Dell Display might give you some trouble while playing older games and even some new titles as the native resolution is not totally supported by many games. The Display that you got is an awesome one nonetheless .And give us a review about how good the Keyboard and mouse are , comfort levels and all.

And you haven't mentioned what RAM you are using and why 3 Hard Drives ?

Massivley underpowered!! You are nuts to try to run that from a 450W PSU!! Change it ASAP. Get at least an HX620.
Otherwise, nice config!

Anyway, my turn to showoff

C2D E8400
Asus P5Q Deluxe mobo
4GB Transcend DDR2 1066
2x250 GB Seagate
2xWD640 GB
1x500 GB Verbatim

Logitech G7 laser mouse and MX518 optical.

G15 keyboard

ATI HD4870 512MB GPU

Dell E248 full HD. 1920x1200 native resolution

Microsoft Sidewinder forcefeedback pro joystick for flight sims

Logitech Momo Force feedback for raving games.

Cambridge Soundworks 5.1 500 THX certified speakers(for games and movies)

Grado SR325is for music.

X-fi Titanium soundcard.

Cooler Master RC-690-KWN1-GP RC-690 with Transparent Side Panel Mid Tower Computer Case
A total of 8 fans. 3 120MM LED fans, 2 120MM fans, 1 on processor, 1 in GPU, 1 in PSU. This is same as OP's.

Corsair HX 620W power supply.

BenQ 1650 DVD writer. Writes everything except blu-ray

In addition, have the usual stuff like wi-fi router, 1kva UPS, 16GB Voyager GT pendrive, etc....

And I've seen sooooooooooo many better configs that mine in India itself.

Man, what a system!
I am shocked by the no. of fans.
Thanks for putting up the cost.

1) From where did you procure these parts ?
2) Your graphic card is not giving out any HD port, right or wrong ? I thought that HDMI port would be available in XFX GT 260.
3) I appreciate the wise choice of Dell. ViewSonic is something I would avoid and you have bought a quality product.

1. Mostly from Chandigarh. Some from USA, Delhi and Bombay.
2. It does give out HDMi signal. There are 2 DVI ports at back and I was provided with on DVI to HDMi adapter by the company (XFX ).
3. Thanks, I did quite research before choosing the display. I was choosing between BenQ 2400HD and the dell one. Finally went with dell. I have always used Samsung in past. Samsung are tooo bright, and it was taking the toll on the eyes now.

A lot of components were installed after the PSU upgrade.
PSU is due for an upgrade.
I will get something in 800W.

You have got a great system as well.
I love Cambridge Soundworks.

The upper models were all supporting DDR3 RAM.
When I purchased the board DDR3 RAM were very very expensive.
So, I wanted a board with DDR2 support.
I was little more inclined towards Intel, as this is what I have used from start.

I keep on upgrading something or the other with time.
Its a never ending process.
Dell display is great otherwise, except most games dont support the resolution.
Movieslook great on full HD displays.
But you have to be future proof I guess.
Displays are not something that you would upgrade frequently.
So, I went with the best I could find for the money I had.
Keyboard and mouse are amazing.
Mouse will take sometime getting used to. But once you get used to it, its pretty comfortable to use.
Keyboard is well laid out. It has a chiclet type design.
Their are 2 USB 2.0 ports which are hidden, but still convenient to use.
Built is simply superb as with all apple products.

I forgot the RAM. I have 4GB RAM 2X2GB. DDR2 800MHz Transcend RAM.
As I said earlier, I keep on upgrading various components with time.
I started with one 160GB HDD, then as content grew, I put on 320GB one. Then it grew some more, I purchased on 500GB. A one more 500GB after that. I sold 160GB. I am now planning for one 1.5TB and one SSD to run OS.
