Bing anyone?

I just checked it coz of the media hype. Well, the pop up when you check a search result is a new thing.

And it just overtook Yahoo !

Bing is surprisingly good. Much better than what most people expected or would give it credit for. Been using it since its launch now and I don't really miss Google for anything apart from the quick conversions and calculations stuff that Bing doesn't do yet.

Yeah, I did try it out. Looks much better than the previous Microsoft search engines. But, I guess it needs much more to get me pulled out of Google.

tried bing a couple of times, i guess it will take some getting used to from the UI off google. Bing already kicking the searchengine market by capturing 17% (i think)- but its already beat Yagoo!

Why not try this? Blind Search

Welcome to BlindSearch, the search engine taste test.

Type in a search query above, hit search then vote for the column which you believe best matches your query. The columns are randomised with every query.

The goal of this site is simple, we want to see what happens when you remove the branding from search engines. How differently will you perceive the results?

I am still addicted to Google, so will take some time and some magic if i were to change. Simpley tried out a image saerch on Bing, and it seemed okie. However, it picks up objects in a different sampling order.

For eg: Google image search on Ford Ikon gives my car among the listings, but didnt find it on Bing.

I searched for the search engine " Bing" from another search engine "google"

I too think its too far behind google. Also, the UXM is very important and difficult to take traffic away from google.

I thought you were talking about carbs!

LOL, I thought the thread was about carbs. no not the eating variety but what mixed petrol & air. Some Bullets came with Bing carbs.

Nice stumbling across this informative thread even though by mistake.

Cheers,

I was never a googler. Just Yahoo it for almost everything. Used google for local search and translation. But now my main search engine is Bing followed by yahoo. Bing is very fast and clutter free interface.

Cheers!
