External DVD writer - suggestions?

Hi,
My cousin is looking at a getting himself an external DVD writer, which can be connected using USB. Could someone please guide me to a suitable brand, worth purchasing?

I did lookup the itdepot.com and while it did throw up some rather fancy options, i am probably looking at some simpler options.

About the pricing, would it be similar to that for a normal DVD writer, or should i expect more?

I hear they are around Rs.3800 for a dual layer DVD writer (not Blueray).

You can convert your internal DVD writer by buying an IDE/SATA casing for about Rs.750.

Hi guys,
I'd been to SP road on Saturday, and enquired about the prices and models on offer. Majority of the shops were pushing the local brands such as NEC, ENTER etc. Since my cousin was planning on taking this with him to Ireland, i wanted a more reputable brand.

I finally bought an LG Slim external DVD writer, costing me Rs.3900/-. It comes with a one year warranty.
