Did not try to track it beyond that. A collegue who ordered it got it in 5 days after it was shipped (8 day after placing the order). He visited foreign post office in Mumbai and picked up personally.

Parcel lands there 2 days after it lands in India.

^^^ Its a ripoff . The real cost is US$ 59.90 (~2,915 INR) and you can buy it from here.

I have used this in my PSP and it was good.(3years Back). Only problem is that you cant ask for directions. After a 1 year use i sold off the GPS receiver (PSP-290).

To make use of this receiver first of all u need following things.

1. A Homebrew enabled PSP (i.e Cracked PSP)
2. GPS device either holux or PSP-290
3. Homebrew software which is free - MapThis!
4. Insane7's Map maker which is free to download (downloads from Google, yahoo etc)

And even without that, there is an option in UI itself to switch to a diferent GPS program that has been copied to SD card.

This brand is 'YF' basically no name.

Bought this one : DealExtreme: $119.70 5.0" LCD 372MHz CPU Windows CE 5.0 Bluetooth + GPS Navigator with 2GB Maps SD Card and FM Radio

It boasts of video player / Mp3 player etc etc but all that is useless. CPU / RAM is not enough for those things.

GPS and Handsfree calling (with bluetooth) work fine.

DX has detailed instructions on setting up this PND any which way :

Page not Found - DX Public Wiki

My one month of search for the most VFM GPS product ends here.
DealExtreme: $103.76 5.0" LCD 372MHz CPU Windows CE 5.0 Bluetooth + GPS Navigator w/FM Transmitter + 2GB Maps SD
Simply you can run any GPS Software/Maps on this with a little computer knowledge. Thanks for the Tips. Ordering it today.

Well I noticed one new product is listed in their site today which having Phone book, and Bluetooth file transfer too. The only thing which is missing in the description is FM Transmitter. Do check this too

DealExtreme: $102.90 5.3" LCD Windows CE GPS Navigator with Bluetooth and USA Street Maps 2GB TF Card

The FM transmitter is the most important thing to listen to directions on your ICE, The device in the link has a different processor called NTK 396, where as the one that you plan to order has Centrality Atlas-III 372MHz ARM.

Check this one which has BT and FM.

And this one has 128MB of ram

Don't think FM would work for direction on ICE.

Reason is, HU would need to be kept tuned to PND's frequency for this to work. That would mean no music (Built in mp3 player in PND is no good).

Bluetooth is only practical option for this. But that would mean spending $$$ on bluetooth kit for HU. Or an HU with bluetooth.

I was talking about playing music from a BT phone on the PND and then playing it on your ICE through FM.

Could you suggest me a good GPS model from DX. would 128mb ram make a huge difference over the 64mb device that you have?

Is Bluetooth handsfree sound transmitted through the FM transmitter?
Several users report that the handsfree sound (that is, the caller's voice sound) is not transmitted through the FM transmitter . The ringtone for an incoming call is transmitted however.

To use GPRS to connect to the Internet:

You need to pair your phone with the GPS to use GPRS. Select the "Pair" option from the Bluetooth menu on the GPS, then initiate pairing from your phone. Once you have done this your phone should show up in the list of devices on the GPRS DUN list.

Does it support SD WiFi cards?
Yes, thanks to Vishek there is a complete procedure for using these units with an SD WiFi card
So do we need any more choice !

You will need to go to "Foreign Post office". Normal post office would not handle items that require customs evaluation.

Once it clears customs, than it would be forwarded to central post office for delivery (Bangalore GPO)

GPO would forward to post office that has your local pin code.
