There is a laptop repair store above Croma bandra. Got my keyboard on my dell and hp replaced from them. They used OEM parts.

laptop repair is always costlier.

@motionfreak, I live in Dadar E. Thinkpad Z61 went bluescreen one day. And wont start now. I suspect Ram chips problem. But dont know how to open and troubleshoot. Thanks

How about lamington road? I have seen lot of big shops selling laptop, not sure if they take laptops for repair and also there genuineness.
Can some bhpian comment, if anyone has experience of Lamington road?

In any case if you give it to some other vendor than IBM then I would recommend get the job done in front of your eyes, leaving overnight I would avoid it anytime.

in powai plaza there is a laptop guy in first floor. used him twice and both times, he solved the problems
