Accessing Team BHP from mobile

Note from Mod : The Team-BHP Mobile Skin has now been successfully installed. For full details, click here.

For those of us who have a phone with limited internet browsing capabilities and a small screen (e.g. my Nokia 6300)...

Given the limited screen space and large size of Team BHP pages here's a simplified way
a. Go to google.com on your mobile
b. Type "Team BHP Forum" in the search box and submit
c. Hit the first link (which is to the Forum page)
d. Once loaded save that page as a bookmark

Essentially at step c. google retrieves the page from Team BHP and formats it for a small screen mpbile phone. Images are shrunk and if the page is very big (which it usually is!) it is split into multiple pages, with a link at the bottom/ top to the next/ previous page part.

You're welcome! Oh and yes the bookmark saved points to the google-fied version of Team BHP so you can just hit it instead of following these steps every time..

T-Bhp has become very addictive. I have started checking the site on my mobile and able to read it pretty well.

One thing i have noticed while browsing thry mobile is that the 'Quick Links' hyperlink does not come but 'BuddyList' hyperlink appers. Not sure what could be the reason.

PS: Mods, maybe you can check and let us know the reason.

I regularly open Team-BHP on my Nokia E71 using Opera Mini. It opens pages at decent speeds. I have tried a lot of browsers but due to the low speed of Egprs connections its a pain on most of them.

Have you ever faced a problem while navigating TBHP forum pages in Opera Mini? I often find myself stuck on the same page even though I click on the link for the next page. The issue often resolves itself after 3-4 clicks but it can be frustrating and time-consuming.

Nope i haven't experiences something similar, I keep the font size smallest and image quality lowest.

+1. I too use it on my E61i. It compresses the data over network- saves some money if your are on a limited data plan . Only problem- it can't access some secured site like eTrade.com and the LAN pages e.g. your router configuration page (like 192.168.2.1). This is because opera uses a proxy mechanism to connect to the site. Also (some) cause of concern is that it "decodes" and reads your user id/password/cookies etc. Hope they are not misusing these info.

Opera mini is great. Its fast, efficient and makes browsing on the phone / navigating pages a LOT easier.

Download it here : Opera Mini is the next generation mobile browser for any mobile phone.
