are thses dots from inside the screen or are they on the surface.if on the surface u can clean them with the solution that is used by opticans to clean specs and use a very soft cloth that also comes with the specs.

if u dont have these u can buy them from any optican.just wet the cloth with the liquid and srub gently where the spots are.then wip clean the whole screen with the same liquid(little less wetness).

if these dots are from inside the screen then these may very well be dead pixels.these cannot be repaired.one or two dead pixels are ok.to check if these are dead pixels see if the dots are visible when the laptop is switched off,as dead pixels only appear when the screen is turned on.

it is the cloth fibres that are left on the screen edges.try using fibreless camos leather to clean the edges.it is available in car shops.

I second that. If you dont get Colin, use any locally available glass cleaner spray and wipe with any lint free old cloth. Old banians are fine...

guys thanks a lot for the suggestions. the spots are on the screen itself and not from inside as my laptop is only three months old.

i will try with the first available method i.e of tissue. then may be try with the optical solution.

hope this works.

I use 'Anti-Static Cleaning Wipes for electronic equipment' its specially made for computers so that there is no residue left on ur screen. I picked it up from Walmart in america, i doubt u get it here so i guess if u know of anyone coming from the states then call for a big bottle of these wipes.
