Just like the 'which car has got the ugliest butt" poll, Is a poll really required here too?

I don't know what is the problem but i get many mail from different user who have email id similar to mine. and every other day i get a message that your email xxxxxxxx@gmail.com have been created. which i have never done. i also keep getting requests for resetting the password of my email.

Only Yahoo Mail! Using since mid 1997 and completely happy about it. It never disappointed me in any area. Now using the all new yahoo mail.

Spams are well controlled. In 24 hr cycle, maximum spam mails accumulated are less than 20.

Keep going yahoo.

Cheers!

LOL. You seem to have low expectations and easy to satisfy. You get 20 spams in a day and you are satisfied with that.

I am sure yahoo will be very happy to have more patrons like you.

Yahoo - lite and user friendly

Gmail is so confusing " me wrote to him, him wrote to her, she wrote to the dog, dog bit the neighbor, blah blah" and all those confusing stuff. All I admired about Gmail was the 'download all attachments' options which is now in Yahoo as well !

So yahoo for a long a long time more..

Any technical reason for the above?

I always thought it was google that was accused of manipulating your data and doing wicked analytics to track your online behaviour and invade privacy.

Same as the above. I have been using Yahoo since ages, and continue to do so..although i do have a gmail account as well, which i check regularly.

Although Gmail does provide a label option, i prefer the folders option in yahoo, which helps to segregate them better.

Also, what i dont like about Gmail is that all the mails are grouped together, and suppose there is one particular mail among the entire sequence which i want to delete, the whole thread gets deleted!

Yahoo is not as radical or modern as Gmail, but sometimes simplicity is the key.

Ben, you can delete a single mail in the mail chain, goto the top right of the mail, click on V, then click 'Delete this message'.

Mail chain / thread is the best thing I like about Gmail.
Also no spam mails in Gmail, once logged-in I can access the mails offline too.

Yes like finneyp said the chain/thread is the best part and indeed you can delete any post from that thread!
