Help Cell!

Hi

I'm planning on buying a new cell phone. My budget is Rs 7000/-. My three main areas of interest are bluetooth, camera and music/FM. I know I'm asking for too much but see below.

I found the Sony Ericsson T630 (Rs 6200) which has bluetooth, infrared, VGA camera, 65,536 colors screen, but has no music player.

The next best option was either the N-Gage QD at Rs 7500/-. But it does not have a camera. Does the QD have FM, music player??! I'm not sure.

Then comes the 6600 (Rs 11500/-) with just about everything one needs.

And also the k500i which has everything. Does the k500i have expandable memory?! On the site it says only 12MB memory.

Any suggestions are welcome. Need it as soon as possible. Please try to keep the range strictly inside Rs 7500/- and not above that.

K500i doesn't have expandable memory, but it has all the other features you want. Also take a look at the LG models. I think they have one that fits all your requirements. Dunno the model though.

hi gordy

my first suggestion would be to pick up an black 6600 which is available in hyd for 10.3 k (grey market) if this is in your budget .

the reason is that this has the max no of features, very durable and has extremly high resale value.

in hyd 2 year old 6600's go for abt 7.5 to 8k!!

if not i suggest you the new lg m4410 has all what u need and looks really goood in the photos!

think it retails for 10k with a bluetooth headset,so with out the bluetooth it must be cheaper.
no idea abt the fone's durability/on hand looks as my dealer is yet to get it with him, will be checking this out this weekend.

gonna choose between this or a black 6600 as a gift to self for this dussera.

if u dont need external memory check out the sony ericson k500, think it is 8.XX grey market.

another small suggestion: if possible save up a bit more and get an good fone for 10k range. as the phones in 7k range are like the old hindi saying: "na ghar ka,na ghat ka"

take care
and do inform what have u picked up.

ps:how's the bodybuilding going on??

Somehow I don't trust names like LG, Motorola, BenQ, etc. Are they really good enough?! Considering spares, repair costs, durability?!

I'm dying to get that phone, but the problem is that it costs 11500/- and is way out of my budget. Gotta ask my family members to reconsider the budget. They're all happy with the T630 and mostly I "MAY" be taking that. Actually they don't want me to get an expensive cell, because I've already lost a Nokia 5210 and another two expensive watches which were awesome!! And to add to the record got my TATA Indicom 3105 drenched to the core on 26/07.

In case I'm on a choice between - K500i, T630, N-Gage QD - which one do you guys recommend?! If I have the option of 6600, I'll surely pick it!!

Moreover, are the old N-Gage's still available?! My friend told me that his friend picked a brand new piece just a week back.

Hit a very very very very long plateau. But right now, good enough.

Thanks Shubbhi. Will check out the feature.

Had also seen two more phones. A black Nokia 6030, but it doesn't have bluetooth, camera OR music player. It does look good and has FM. The other was a red Nokia 3220. It looks sporty, but has some odd features in it. No FM, bluetooth, infrared, music. Only camera.

K700i comes the same price of N6600..

But the problem is it has inbuilt mem of 42MB while in N6600 you can netime buy a mem slot and upgrade your ph mem. Otherwise the cam reso of K700i is AWESOME!!!

The K700i is an excellent phone. Its got a great camera too.But the N6600 definately makes for a better overall buy.It fits in most of your conditions too.
Its retailing at 10K at Heera-panna now.If a new one fits in your budget,go for it.
Otherwise one can always buy a used N6600,upgrade the software and voila!! It`ll cost you aroung 7k.Another 100rs for upgradation etc.

And also, take a look at this link. Its got the Indian Cellular price-list.Though not that accurate, but might help.

How about a Nokia 7600....

Got all the features you are looking for except expandable memory ( standard is 30MB)...of course the shape is something which one has to get used to.....you either love it or hate it....priced around 8K right now I think....is a good deal for that price....

Cheers!!!

Most of my friends have had a terrible time with Moto's. One of them being that the cell gets heated up even after speaking for about 5 minutes.

How about the first NGage?! Not the QD.
