not much is out yet. but google for p950 and you will get quite a couple of links. SOme people also claim it to be the p1000.

p910 is preffered as a better buy just because it is a smartphone over k750i. but k750i has an excellent camera and a good music player. BUy what you find suitable for your needs.

Nah,the p1000 will be launched next year with various other feature as per the reports on mobile forums.

With the choices above,i would go with the p910i blindly. Its an excellent phone. But my close second would be a n6680 which is little better than the n6681.

next year is when they are planning the launch of p950. I dont see any sense is releasing p1000 the same year. Its the same phone. these are just the rumoured names.

I have been upgraded from my 6600 to a 6681 2 months ago and i love this phone. The flash is really effective and the software is much more reliable than the 6600. I paid a difference of 11,500 over my 6600 and I think its definatly worth the price....I think it was retailing for 18.5-19 when i bought it....I was thinking about getting the P910i too but i am just a sucker for Nokia now its hard for me to change to Sony...tho i really like some of the features in the Sony... it still feels very complicated to me and doesnt have flash either hence I think 6681 is better overall. Dont waste those few thousands by getting a 6680 coz the only difference is the dual camera which is pretty useless since 3G hasnt yet set foot in India.

I have used p900 for a month and a A1000 for the same period(belongs to my friend)

I like the A1000's handy design and ringtones and the camera is good in daylight. ANd P900 has an excellent set of fetaures and keypad.

A1010 and sonyericsson p950/1000 hermione is not out yet.

which have you used?and why such a question?

Does anybody know when 3G services will be coming to India? I'm planning on buying a phone too, but I'd feel pretty silly if I bought one now and then in a few months 3G arrives and I'm stuck with an obsolete phone.

Excellent pick! I am a sucker for SE phones. However, w/o bill...umm...just be careful with the touchscreen as it costs a bomb to replace.

Did you pick any BT handsfree too. Also, did you get the USB port stand and the software. If yes, 19.5k is a decent price for the P910i.

Cheers

Well my thryst with PDA phones started with the Sagem WA3050 about 4 years back, which found more use as a paperweight than as a phone/PDA. Sine then I've been through the HTC (Qtek/iMate/O2/Tmobile) series (1010, XDA2, PDA2k and finally the JAM), 2 Treo phones - both of which were crap, P800 and Nokia 9300.

Currently retaining the iMate JAM and the A1000.

The reason I asked is that there arent many fans of the PDA Phone in India and its unusual to find a person who's been through more than one and is still stuck on to these gadgets. Most people dont have the patience.
