The son of all smartphones is here.

most of us want a phone that is fully functional yet small in size.

while nokias size grows with features here is a a pocket pc phone that is similar to your 6600 in size.

presenting the O2 Atom. smaller than the imate jam(xda mini)

look at the feature set and decide for yourself.

I like the caption

"A female model is showing the new O2 Atom. Look at the size, it is really small."

I wonder what they're talking about

Jokes apart, this will probably be the biggest hit to come from the HTC stable that includes the O2, iMate, MDA, XDA and Qtek brands. Even the previews from various websites were all praise for the model - and thats even before its official launch! However, its not yet clear whether it will support 3G...if it does (unlikely) it will be the ULTIMATE phone with PDA, 3G, WiFi, Stereo FM radio, GPS, 2mp Camera with Flash, high resolution screen...THE WORKS.

Hell you could set an alarm to wake you up playing your favourite radio station!

If it has 3G, its my next phone. Even if it means I have to sell the JAM and the A1000.

guys,

surprise surprise.

This one's not made by the HTC people. O@ just switched to QUanta. The reason you see a 2mp camera and radio.

Their first phone had a replaceable battery on the go? Neat stuff. you can change the battery while on the call.

I am waiting impatiently for this one.

I hear from some websites that this product had the HTC code "Athena", which was then changed to "Prophet. Similar specs, too:

Cool phone. Will be kinda expensive when launched but hopefully the price will come down after some time.
When is it expected?

yes the two phones are very much in competition.

but Atom is not 3g supported.

IT has many others intresting features though and the size is the best asset.

anyways I personally think p990i sucks with the reduced screen and squeeze everything in looks. also 3g is not yet completely reliable.

Lets hope Atom is priced below p990i then I will buy it happily.
