I've had to do no such thing. Else would not have bought. :-)
What is the value of the product you are buying?

Hi Rohan,
Candy Crush is one of the top battery hoggers out there! Just google Candy crush battery drain and you'll know. I quote from a warning posted by Verizon:

" Candy Crush Saga
Version: 1.19.0
Developer: King.com
Last Reviewed: December 2013

Description: When running, this app keeps the device from going into sleep mode. As a result, a device left untouched with the app running will drain the battery about 2.9 times faster than normal.

Recommendation: Close this game when done playing to avoid unnecessary battery drain."

When did you place the order for phone?
Thanks everyone!
I ordered on 6th by around 12:15PM, soon after the Flipkart website recovered from crash.

No screen guard yet. In the mayhem, I ordered a combo, without thinking much and the back cover was a red one, which my wife didn't like. So cancelled it. She likes the white flip cover and may order soon.

The flip covers are sold out. I have a white flip cover and it looks good, gives a nice feel to touch. Now waiting for the courier fellow to deliver the phone.

Just updated my HTC one dual SIM to android 4.2.2 and sense 5.5!
Initial impressions:
Snappy performance and also the screen seems more crisp now.

I'm running 4.4.2 on my ion. Problem is, it repeatedly loses the default launcher, and is asking me 3 out of 10 times at least, which launcher to use.
Anybody else has faced this, with any other phone or/and rom? After a fresh flash, everything was ok for 2-3 days, but it's come up again.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

I am thoroughly regretting upgrading my Samsung S3 from android 4.1 to 4.3. Battery used to last 8-10 hours atleast. Not more than 4-5 hrs now.

Usage pattern is same as before.

Heavy usage of calls on VOIP. not Skype. Skype is a resource hungry app.
Trying hard to keep the device alive.

Alas, I may now have to invest in a backup power device.

Just format the device once. After that the experience would be butter smooth and battery backup good too. Thats what i did...

Must be some app not letting your phone deep sleep. Install betterbatterystats and cpuspy to confirm and find the particular app. In the meantime, try disabling google now, location services too. I remember having a similar problem on my old phone

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

^^ i think the phone will come locked with Boost mobile ( a CDMA carrier in US) and you would then need to unlock it here for any CDMA operator. The link he gave is the process to unlock this phone to work with Reliance CDMA.

DKAILE, is my understanding correct ??

So basically, flashing the firmware just like i do on a Samsung device via oDin or something similar.

Isn't there any such scheme for GSM devices. ?
Say, i get a At&t GSM device at such a dirt cheap price & then flash it to use it here in india ?
I had always believed that mostly such locked devices come with a contract.

Yes, that's what I meant and I hope I was evidently clear. This process is for people on CDMA or wanting to shift to CDMA. I am getting consistent 2~2.5Mbps data speeds on EVDO (3G in cdma vocabulary) and that too pan India, at dirt cheap rates of 94Rs. per month for 1/2 GB data (keeps changing).
