I too received update miui6 on 15feb. It's mapped to kitkat 4.4.4.
Just want to know any user Guide available for miui6? Without that, difficult to know, what features it provides.

"System Upgrade Available: Click to Apply..."

But they don't give any information . It could be a firmware improvement, a vital bug fix, or an upgrade to an operating system we don't want.

Previously, I had thought that the companies that issue regular upgrades are the ones that care. Well, I suppose they are, but it is not all good.

(Asus Fonepad, "upgraded" to unwanted KitKat. Makes me very nervous to click that message.)

Is there any fix for the memory leak in lollipop for moto g ? I am extremely disappointed with my phone now. Its acting like a brick since the past few days and battery life has also gone for a toss. It now hardly works for 5 - 6 hours

Unfortunately, no. This is an AOSP problem and is not limited to just the Moto G. The Nexuses have the leak issue as well.

Apparently Android 5.1 fixes the issue, but we'll just have to wait and see.

PS - My Moto G has not faced the issue yet; Keeping my fingers crossed.

Default processor temp was at 45 C. I ran Antutu Thrice (Got 45xxx all three times). Processor temperature shot up to 75 degree C.

Now I tried to see where the phone was heating up. The top heated up slightly. The area near the camera also got warm. The volume button area was the warmest. But the phone still wasnt uncomfortable to hold!

P.s. Is your phone in Performance mode or Balanced Mode?
I was not talking about the internal temperature. The CPU and battery temperature may be normal. The issue is the heat transfer to the body of the phone specially the top half. The experiments in the below link confirms heating up in Xiaomi MI4. It is up to the tolerance levels of the users to decide whether the heating is excessive or not.

I am in big dilemma. Don't want to return again for a mi4. Not sure whether Flipkart will refund the money.

Return saying that the phone is defective.

Let them replace the phone.

If the problem persists in the new phone, call up within 24 hours and ask for a refund sternly. 99% they ll give you a refund.

You have only 30 days from date of purchase, so hurry.

I am on AT&T and these guys don't even let me not accept the upgrade and they just push the upgrade which i can reject like twice and then it automatically installs.

I had to root, get the Titanium and literally freeze AT&T software update to stay in Kit kat. I am not getting any upgrade till i see confirmed news that battery is good.

Anyone who has moved to Lollipop 5.0.1 have nothing but complaints about the battery life some saying 4 hrs max.

Now i get sold 1 day with maximum use, 6-7 accounts in sync, g+, flickr and what not. I am happy with the current performance.

Except for the fact my son broke the screen, the phone is fine. My next fone will be a nexus simply for the build. My son has dropped atleast 20 times more than my S5 but the nexus 5 is built in titanium. Nothing, not even a scratch on that fone.

Love the nexus and the nexus 6 is equally build like a beast.

Good you did that. Lollipop will completely destroy the phone. I was so fed up with frequent hanging and freezing that I began to downgrade the firmware, and ended up bricking it for good.

MotoG (1st gen) owners - STAY ON KITKAT!

This is interesting. I just saw a cousin's Phone (same as yours) on lollipop. It wasn't painfully slow but things like contacts and the app drawer did take about 5 seconds to load. He was happy overall - he still gets about a full day of backup.

How did you manage to brick your phone? Please post so that others know what not to do. It is surprising for me personally because my Motorola Defy is still operational and very few people have managed to brick it in all these years.

On a side note, in a marriage recently, again I walked away impressed with the low light sharpness of the Nexus 5.

I updated to lollipop the first day itself. There were 82 apps installed on my phone during the update and now about 100. Since then i had no problem till now. Only a slight decrease in battery back up due to removal of google manual sync button, as the sync function stays on forever now. Most of the users facing memory/hanging/battery issues are due to using incompatible apps. Get rid of those apps and phone will be fine.

For me it was FB app. Once removed, the phone is giving almost a day of service.

BTW, does anyone here have opinion about panasonic P55?
