I don't think India specific OnePlus One will receive OTA updates for CM12, rather Oxygen OS updates will be available. You will have to flash from other countries updates for CM12.

Please correct me if I am wrong here.

Yes, I think this should be the case. I even remember seeing someone sell their India OPO saying that they have the latest Oxygen OS update installed.

CM 12S OTA will be available for India users, the 11S O5Q update was released to India users too. But if you don't want to wait, just use the link posted above.

I was on stock 4.4.4, unrooted/unlocked bootloader etc. As stock as one can be.

Used the instructions from OPO forums (mentioned above) and am successfully on 5.0.2. Works perfect till now.

Most importantly, NO data was lost, no app setting was lost, no wifi etc etc details were lost.

Took approx 10 minutes to update, not counting the time to download the HUGE update file.

Few days back we had argunent over WharsApp and it seemed like almost everyone uses it these days. I thought I am amongst those rare people who don't use WhatsApp but this poll is showing unexpected results:

What's your take on the battery life after the update. My phone has conked off in half a day!

This poll has less than 10k responses, this is not sufficient sample in ters of number or demographics. This site will have higher number of Hangout users than normal public.

In comparison:

1. Google+ / Hangout "Active" userbase is around 10 million (Estimated since Google chose not not release numbers)
2. WhatsApp has 700 million "Active" users

Didn't expect this battery life from a Micromax phone running MIUI custom ROM. The battery life has improved tremendously when compared to the stock ROM from Micromax.
PS: It's a Canvas 2.2

I am in the process of buying a new smartphone. I really liked Huawei Honor 6 after going through all reviews on YouTube. Any one in the forum have experience with this device?

I was on Oxygen OS before this and so the battery life has improved considerably. It's on par with CM11S. ~30% still left after flashing the ROM yesterday afternoon (~30 hours so far with 3.5 hours SOT).
