Hey what's your opinion about Moto Edge 30 Pro?

Sorry but I have not looked at Moto Edge 30 Pro in detail so would not be able to help with that. There was some discussion about it few pages back I think so fellow members who are using it might be able to help. Alternatively, you could check some of the reviews on YouTube like from geekyranjit (I find him to be generally honest about reviews) or others. Geekyranjit's review is below.

Can you please share the final deal, if possible? Last I checked the price of S20 FE 5G was hovering around 35K few months back.

30499 with an additional 2000 discount on HDFC cards. Net damage = Rs.28499.

This seems to have increased to Rs 34999 now when going to payments page:unhappy. Would have been insane vfm at 28k, now its just vfm. If any other way to get this at 28k, please let me know.

Yes, the price has gone back up but the 2000/- cashback on HDFC still stands making it 32,499 /- effectively. Still a good deal.

If however you are not looking to buy one immediately and can wait a few days, keep checking the prices on the corporate website. The prices fluctuate a lot and maybe it will go back to the 28,499/- deal once again. When I had purchased, had noticed this behavior and had waited for a few days to get a good deal.

Cheers,
S

I guess primary reason is that Amazon is selling at 34,999 in its summer sale. I am planning to wait till the sale period ends and check whether price will come below 30K.

Would the new 5G Samsung phones still problematic like they were earlier with slowness after some usage ?

Quick check I found this:
https://www.sammobile.com/news/samsu...xy-smartphone/

I dont use my phones for anything like games. May be just some occasional youtube videos, some apps I need to use on&off. Since it will be a second phone, will the F23 be a safe bet ? Nice deal on the corporate sale website.

Happened to look at this on Amazon today and Amazon has a 3000/- discount coupon available on the blue color, bringing it down to 31,990/-. Further there are various card offers which would bring overall price further down. With 5% cashback on Amazon Pay card, it comes down to 30390/-.
Samsung still has it at 34,999 with the HDFC cashback of 2K.

Cheers,
Sumeet

Blackberry? Are they alive?

Blackberry isn't into making phones as of date.

However there last Key2 LE, a made by TCL phone, is still available on sale.

The Qwerty keypad + touch screen looks awesome and the features of this model are too good to be ignored.

Now that I have ordered the S20 FE 5G, I would be looking to enjoy most of it's capabilities if not all. First thing, I will be exploring the cameras a lot (which I have not bothered doing on any of my previous phones). Also, as Auto Call Recording is available on this phone, I would like to take advantage of that as well.

Hence I feel buying a nice high speed memory card will be a good investment as all the 4K videos, pictures and recorded calls would need considerable storage space. Saw the ones available on the Samsung corporate website - cost about Rs.2200 for a 256GB one. The 128GB variant on Amazon/Flipkart are about Rs.1000-1200.

Do these prices sound reasonable? I have absolutely no clue so any advice here would be very helpful.

I watching Youtube videos is going to be your primary usage, then don't buy the F23 as the display it comes with is a very average TFT panel.

If 5G is not a priority, I would suggest check out the Motorola G52 on Flipkart.

THanks, Oxy. YT not as in the video's there, but specific discussions/discourses. The other uses may be reading some posts on Telegram, and remote camera for monitoring.

I will check the G52. A quick look shows the G52 has 4GB RAM while the Samsung has 6GB RAM.

However, for above usage, what other models would be good ? No chinese, pls. I know that excludes almost everything else. Sony isnt around, and one iPhone is sufficient :)

The G52 has a 6GB RAM variant too. Alternatively, the Moto Edge 30 is supposed to be coming next week. You can wait for that. It's form factor is beautiful - 6.79mm thin and 155g in weight.

Motorola mobility is owned by Lenovo , a Chinese tech company.
Your options are -
Samsung
Nokia
Pixel
Asus(Taiwan)

Samsung M series is decent and is available on Amazon with summer sale offers.

Suggestion for a good android phone for around 40,000-50,000?

Hi, I have a Oneplus 8 Pro I got when the phone launched in 2020, apart from surface scratches and light cosmetic blemishes the phone is perfectly fine but I feel like I want change (even if I replace the front glass and swap in a new battery it would cost about 3000)

Is it worth switching to something around 40,000 (I can stretch to 50,000 but that's as far as I'll go) or do I spend 3000 to fix up and keep my Oneplus 8 Pro for another year?

What the new phone needs to have:
I need literally nothing more (no seriously my most used apps are YT Music, YT and Infinity which is a reddit client) I do not play games or any of that stuff.

Outside of the screen refresh rate and battery life I don't think anything else is really necessary as I like to use bigger screens for content consumption and I rarely take pictures.

If Oneplus were as good and cheap as in the Oneplus 7 and Oneplus 6 days (the latter of which I owned for 2 years before the 8 Pro) I would've gone for one of their phones but now it seems the company has gone to the dogs.

Why not the Samsung Z series flip / fold phones? May be S 22 or S21 FE. Net of discounts, these might come in your budget. Outside of OnePlus, nothing much beyond Samsung.
