| ![]() Hey guys, A person with one foot in the IOS world and the other in Android. I exchanged my IP4 for a Motorola Razr Droid (GSM), it is my 2nd handset/number accompanying my primary handset the IP4S. I am finding my way around Android. Very different to IOS though the 4.3" Amoled display on the Razr rocks. Please do help me with tips and suggestions. I feel this shift is similar to using MS Windows and Linux at the same time - therein lies the challenge. ![]() Cheers! |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Ok guys - we have a problem. I have a S2 rooted with the CF method and CWM is installed. I wanted to get the Check ROM on it - so I did the following, 1) Backed up all data with TB 2) Backed up efs data with Ktool. 3) Copied all content on the phone to the pc. 4) Started CWM and booted into recovery to take a backup Nothing happened after that. It did not take a back-up. Also I get only 3 options in Recovery - Update from zip Wipe Data / Restore factory settings Wipe Cache So I was basically stuck - I did not get a backup of the ROM. I decided to go for it any way - wiped cache, wiped the data and selected update from zip - selected the Check ROM and hit ok.... It gave an error saying - install sd card...waited for a few seconds and then said signature not verified - installation aborted. So I reboot the phone - lost all my data - downloaded TB and restored all data. What went wrong guys ? Why only 3 options in CWM ? Why didn't it complete the ROM install ? Am I using a wrong version of CWM ? Also it shows recovery e3 when I boot into recovery - is that the issue ? Do I need to downgrade ? Anyone help me please ? | ![]() The Razr is 33K with B&W. It is a beautiful handset, reminiscent of the original Motorazr of circa 2004. Machined aluminium, kevlar and gorilla glass and very svelte - that should give you and idea. ![]() ![]() Thought of buying the Samsung Note but it is too large, though the display is understandably stunning. I am stilled a bit foxed and finding my way around 'droid. Gee! IOS is by comparison so simple to use. |

| ![]() @Nomrally_Crazy. Boot into Recovery mode using the traditional method. The latest version of CWM should be accessible if its installed through the normal recovery mode rather than trying to access it through the CWM application. I sometimes get this problem and usually trying to restore files from newer CWM with older CWM only ended up in error. Then i restarted in recovery mode after shutting down the phone and voila the new CWM loaded for easy restore. |

| ![]() Regarding the note - got my doctor to return his Galaxy Note for iPad2. He's currently torn between BB Torch and SGS2 for the phone job! Let's see what he chooses! |

| ![]() hello people! I'm looking for an Android smart phone within 14K INR. This will be my first advanced phone(I own a Nokia 1100). I have shortlisted Motorola Defy, samsung Galaxy ace but I'm open to suggestions. What features to look for in these phones? My main usage will be limited to surfing and listening to music. Plz help me! |

My review of Note - If you want a phone and you will majorly use that device only for calling or messaging it has to be the SGS2. If you use it extensively for office work as well like me, Note makes a great sense. Used it yesterday and i can say i will get one in the next month or so ![]() | |
