It worked for me as recently as last week.

Tried even now. I get the message that Google maps navigatoion is not yet available in this location.

I guess the standard app does not help.

And on search found this interesting thread. Going to try this at home.

No. On the few forums where I have read about it, including Motorola Forums, it is mostly a problem with the functioning of the phone with a class10 card. Random errors pop up. Class 6 works well

No mention of any gain or loss in throughput.

Just one suggestion, with either of these apps, switch off the power saver functionality of android, as I have found it to conflict with these and actually ending up wasting more battery.
I'v looked into these apps already. Way too bloated for my liking. :( Not a fan of apps like Juice Defender. Want something lean, like say BatteryFu. But its not working properly on my phone with ICS.

Strange. If its a known issue, it may be best to try to get the card changed.

I have raised a support ticket with homeshop18 on the memory card issue. They sent me the wrong one. I have asked them if I can try the card out and will pay the difference in cost if it works well. I have also asked if they will accept replacement with a Class6 card in case the Class10 card does not work well as the blister pack will be opened. Let us see what they say.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Thats very strange mayankk. Navigation is still not officially supported in India but it seems to be working for you! Usually to make navigation work we have to use the hacked apks that are there in the link provided by vw2010.

Are you on stock ROM or some developer one?

Whenever Google maps new version gets released, xda will have the cracked worldwide navigation apk listed. I always use that. There is no official support in gmaps for navigation in India.

The cracked signed apk is available which can be simply installed in any device without needing root access.

For a rooted device latest apk is available for the latest maps. It is there at the link provided above.

For an unrooted device latest apk is maps version 6.5.1 It is also available there at the same location.

Google has begun rolling out Jellybean to Galaxy Nexus devices. I checked on mine but no update available yet. Anyone got the update yet?

You can refer to the below link on XDA forums. You need to be a member to down load AFAIK.
