Guys having Xperia X10 -

I am using this App task manager software from Market which enables me to kill (force close) all selected running applications at one go. Is this of any use??!!

Some Qs. Maybe thats how andriod works, else if there is a work around, plz do share.

Device: Moto Quench

1. To use calander, I had to add an account. (I had added a gmail a/c). Is there another way to use calender, i dont want it to sync with google calender.

2. I had added a bunch of contacts using 'ADD contacts' and bit of SIM import. After this I used the gmail app to log into gmail. I am now unable to log off this account now, and all my contacts got synced with the gmail contacts. Also there are some redundancy, (may be lifted from the sim).

Now when i try to remove the configured gmail a/c it says, already associate with other apps, cannot remove, plz do a factory reset to remove this account.

So, where did i go wrong? Cant one just ADD contacts, keep it independent of other mail box contacts?

Help me out with this.

Guys i have some good news to share:

1. Its confirmed that Samsung Galaxy 3 is going to get Froyo 2.2 update.
It has already been leaked at Sam-firmware:
Samsung I5800 gets Froyo! -

2. FINALLY. I got a call from futurebazaar.com, that my Galaxy 3 is procured and is now ready to ship and gave me AWB number. Hoping i will get it in 2-3 days. :-)

Ok,got this resoved after fiddling around for 2-3 hrs.All I did was:

1. Removed the SIM from mobile
2. Switched on and connected to WIFI
3. Logged into Youtube app (I was able to login here)
4. Went to Menu>Sync>checked auto sync then manage accounts>Gmail
enter login credentials & hit sync & it works

Some initial observations:
1.If the fone is on silent mode & you listen to songs it does not unmute itself,has to be done manually
2.There is no shortcut to see all call logs,if I create one,it shows last 3 calls
3.Unlike 1.6 there is no shortcut for profile switching from silent>normal and likewise

Havnt felt any lag whatsoever,I have installed angry birds ,skype,poweramp,awd launcher,3d labrynth,dophin HD browser and some antivirus.

Good to know your issues are resolved! Way to go.

And Angry Birds is very addictive. I waste atleast 1 hour on it daily. Planning to take the bus to office from next month instead of driving so that I can kill the pigs while travelling. Nice way to take revenge for swine flu!

There is. The "status switch" widget. It has shortcuts for silent/normal/vibrate, flight mode, bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Data traffic all in one single widget. It also has a battery lever indicator in %.

You also have the unlock bar which can be slid to the left to mute/un-mute your phone.

I am yet to get a AWB number, however my order status keeps on changing every few hours, don't know what they are upto.

HTC desire is priced 26400Rs. in metro cash&carry yeshwantpur.
