I don't see any issues in getting the OTA update even if you are using the phone here in India.
I have experienced an OTA update being pushed on Razr HD here in India when on Reliance. So, unless the phone is carrier locked, the phone does not care, whether you are on a certain network or not. The moment it connects via WiFi, it will tell you that there is an update.
My cousin carried it for me. Recd the phone only couple of hrs ago.

yet to migrate to moto g. Here are a few pics. The screen and form factor is fantastic.

True, I find the dialer on the kitkat, the best I've ever used. I'm also not sure what exactly he is fed up with.

Hello

A small update. I just started using the moto g. Havent really set up much. Since the home wifi is down I am using my samsungs 3g as hot spot. You guys were right about the update. Got the notification right away. Was impatient and hence went ahead downloading over 3G.

Should be done in a couple of mins. The phone is butter smooth. So far so good. It took around 2.5 hrs for the first charge.

For one, after the latest update the display options for dialer is missing and now can see all of my contacts(US + India). Earlier, could have toggled between India and US contacts based on my location. Hope they bring it back with an update, sooner than later.

When you open the Phone app on 4.4, it shows your most frequently contacted contacts. I don't think it matters if they are enabled in People app or not as you have contacted them recently.

+1 to that. I love the search/local businesses integration into the dialer.

Awesome. Congratulations. Can't wait for the review. Do put it up as soon as possible. Did it update to 4.4.2?

Thanks man.

Yes it updated to 4.4.2. Got the micro Sim activated only an hr ago. So now using the Moto G properly. The phone is butter smooth. Loved the UI and the dialer and everything so far about it.

Its too early to say anything about the battery life. May be after a couple of days of useage. The moto assist is a fantastic feature.

Also got 50GB drive storage free for 2 years. I mean how much can a company give for $200?? Seeing this I feel others are just ripping us customers.

Regards ,

Forgot to add this. One issue I noticed is that on the Tbhp app the lower panel is hidden behind the soft on screen buttons.

@mods pls merge this with the above post. On mobile app and unable to add pic in edit mode.

Battery life is pretty impressive. I am using 3g or WiFi all the time. I hardly game but use pulse, whatsapp,Facebook all day + 2 email accounts.
