Thanks. I am considering as my current A50 (2+ year old) is massively slowing down even after serious de-bloating.

Plus Samsung A52s 5G seems a worthy successor to A50 considering IP rating, higher screen refresh rates, better SD Processor, 3 OS upgrades (and 4 years of security ratings) and similar form factor/size.

And the offer on Samsung A52s 5G seems very alluring ~ net price seems to be around 20K for an 8GB variant.

I've bought 3 phones this year. All from Flipkart. Two of them were exchanges. My experience have been pretty good. I had to avail warranty on one of them (Poco X3 Pro). They didn't even ask for the invoice as the IMEI was already tagged in the system with Flipkart being the authorised reseller. Just get it from a Flipkart assured reseller.

Got the G40 and have been using it for almost a week. It does what it promises and no complaints so far. Got the 4GB/64GB version for 13,999 off FK. Had to take a warranty of some sort for 99 as the phone wouldn't add to cart without at least one add on!

I have heard good things about the SnapDragon 8 Gen 1 chips in Youtube reviews. Will it be an incremental update, or are there going to be significant changes wrt battery life and multitasking.

So Pixel 5A is probably not going to be launched in India. In fact there are videos on YouTube about how Pixel 6A might get launched in India some time next year, not sure about the reliability of the same.

S21 FE is said to be launching at CES 2022, before the S22 series is launched. Based on the supposed leaks so far, the S21 FE would not have a major advantage over S20 FE 5G. It would be loosing out on the micro SD card slot compared to S20 FE 5G.

Query for the existing S20 FE 5G owners, are there any heating issues with the phone. Some reviewers have reported this when using the camera app for prolonged periods of time. One reviewer explained that this is expected since the 865 SoC does not have an in-built 5G modem so it uses an external 5G modem. Hence when on mobile data, the device has to power two chips thereby causing heating.

BTW, in case anyone is interested in this phone, it has got a good deal on Amazon, is available for INR 36,990.

It does get a bit warm when the camera is used for a long time and battery consumption is higher than what I would expect during this time. Nothing bothersome though. Still definitely one of the best choices in the price range it is available at now.

I replaced my pixel 3a with a S20FE 5g a month ago and can share my experience. Compared to pixel, this phone is fast and doesn't lag while using apps or the camera (Pixel camera had a long lag, whether using apps or the camera). Screen is better and so is the battery life. I never noticed any abnormal heating so far, with this Samsung. Even while charging, the pixel ran a lot hotter than this.

Now coming to the negatives, the cameras are inferior to the 3 year old pixel. The picture clarity from the front or the rear cameras aren't as good as the pixel. Focusing on images isn't easy, especially if you're using zoom. The in-screen finger print scanner also isn't as effective as the one on pixel (but once the finger print is registered, Samsung unlocks a lot quicker).

Bugs: Over the past month, the phone lost GPS signal on a couple locations. I also had to restart it once to fix the issue.

Overall i am satisfied with the phone but not very happy. I was looking for a good camera phone and this one falls short.

For cameras, did you try the Google Camera apks? It may make a marked differences in image quality as Google Camera software processing is clearly superior

Thanks for the idea. Having used the Pixel all this time, it never struck me to install GCam app on this phone (though I already installed the GBoard for a better keyboard experience). I have installed the GCam today and will use it for few days before sharing my experience.

Thanks for the feedback. I had mostly heard good to decent stuff about S20 FE 5G camera so good to get a real world user perspective.

Was going to suggest the same, trying out GCam (assuming it is installable) and see if there is a major difference. If it works, then the camera issue is sorted I would feel. Would we get features like magic eraser (launched in pixel 6 camera) in the GCam app as well??
Also, Samsung has recently launched a new app for camera called as Expert RAW but I think it only works on Android 12. So maybe once Android 12 is available on the device, that could be tried as well.

After Samsung note 9, the S21 ultra is the most complete and awesome allrounder mobile for me. Updates on time flawless camera for all usage. No lags or issues so far. The camera especially the zoom is awesome! Some clicks from my recent Dubai trip. The last 3 were shot from inside of a moving aircraft.

Hey - I am wondering where do you see this price on Amazon. Despite checking it multiple times, I can only see it as 39990 instead of 26990.
I, then, checked Samsung Corporate scheme and cheapest I can get this device on that platform is 37100.
