been searching for some time now for what OS Elm uses, but only thing i found out was it is something Java based. you might want to try the Symbian version of the application.

I installed this on my Asus P527 Windows 6.1 SmartPhone.

It works.
But then started a weird problem. My phone would shutdown on its own. It would happen anytime without any warning atleast once a day. Even if no applications were active.

Uninstalled this s/w and the problem of shutdown has gone away.

have a few questions for you:
- which version did you install? Touchscreen or Touchscreen WVGA? (Touchscreen WVGA i think is for the full touch screen phones with higher resolution - 480x800 - like the HD2, not sure though)
- if you installed Touchscreen version and are having problems, uninstall it and install the other version and visa versa!
- does the "shutdown" happened before or after you've used Waze?
- have you rebooted your phone after installation? if yes, does the problem persist after the reboot?

*i sound like a tech-support*

try the following and see if "shutdown" problem gets resolved:
- close all applications (make use of the Task Manager if you have to)
- reboot your phone
- do not use Waze and see if your phone shuts down automatically. if it doesn't then you know its not Waze that is causing the problem. (for example, on my Touch Diamond, when i used a Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset, the phone would reboot 2mins into the conversation)

if that solves the problem, come back here and report.
if that doesn't solve the problem, come back here and report.

Hey IronH4wk, I noticed another behavior in my HD2. If i use google maps, it locks the gps satellites fast. But if i use waze, it takes ages to locate the satellites and sometimes will not connect at all. Strange..

Touchscreen WVGA: does not run on my phone gave an error about missing resource files.
Touchscreen: works

answered above

Never

Yes

No

try the following and see if "shutdown" problem gets resolved:
- close all applications (make use of the Task Manager if you have to)
I have a humble Asus phone. I never leave any application runnin

While waze is nice, I prefer the google maps and sat guide maps on my phone.
Maybe someday when I upgrade or change my phone, I will come back to this.

Intersting and very strange, bblost. This app runs fine on my Asus P526. No such issues but slows the phone a lot. COuld that be due to some other app which isn't happy with Waze? please review if there are any other apps which runs active.

there is a application called QuickGPS which gathers satellite information so that applications like GoogleMaps and Waze can easily lock on. i had the locking problems on Waze and GoogleMaps, but once i updated the GPS data using QuickGPS, the lock on was fast - in both.

^^ Wage groups are not supported on IE so you should try it out with a different browser. Hope that helps!
