In the apn settings, put airtelgprs.com, no username or password.

Depending on the plan, u need to send an sms to Airtel. Send 'MO' to 15123 (not sure of the #, check with Airtel). It gets activated in a few mins. There are specific sms numbers that u need to send the sms to depending on the Rs.20 or the Rs.99 plans. I dont remember the numbers exactly, but i know that this is the procedure. If u r unable to get the activation settings for ur blackberry, change the sim card to some popular cellphone, like an n70 or something, send the sms and receive the activation sms, then change the sim back to ur BB and fire up the internet browser. It should work. It worked on mine.

I had not many option left other then to activate the Blackberry services and that is what I exactly did.

I have opted for a unlimited plan, charges are 899/month.

BB gurus any suggestions, on any applications or anything else, I am new to the Blackberry world.

Most importantly, I am for some reason not able to login on TeamBHP using BB, I am not able to type my username in the box

Clear your browser cache, download BB App World and there are all the apps in there. Read some of the earlier pages of this thread.

I have no clue about how the group code scan works, but we have now 20 members in the team-bhp BB group, not a single one was added by approval. I can say that because I created it , same like how this thread was started.

Initially it was just few of us in the group then group members invited many others, so it became 24 at one point. Frequent chats and pic uploads and comments thew out 4 (they went off the group because of the non-stop beeps from group updates). Now I think we have an understanding, its not to be used for frequent chats, but only for something serious that concerns the whole group. Otherwise we always have the one-to-one chat option. If you find it difficult through the code scan, add my PIN 2525209C and I will invite you to the group. Hope that helps.

I am in market for a new phone.
I have narrowed it down to Blacberry Curve/Javelin 8900 and Blackberry Tour 9630.
Which one do you think is better?
Prices are almost similar.

Also, any idea when will we get Strom 2 and 9700 here in India?

Sumit..if you have someone coming from the US or UK have them get you the 9700. Will cost you as much as the javelin here. The tour has now been revamped with a trackpad too, looks very similar to the bold.
