It really worked. I do not remember on what sequence i did it. I repeated the steps mentioned more than 4-5 times and restarted several times.

First I was able to access the internet with Opera Mini and then tried BB maps and that too worked.

Now any suggestions on GPS and other smart applications and available free.

Thanks again ashthedivx

Wow, did it work on your phone???

Any idea where I can find good F1 or car themes for free download. Now I am getting the hang of 8900.

Only drawback of 8900 is no 3G :(

The other problem is which is the best free or 8900 GPS Maps to download.

The first time when you try GPS, it takes good amount of time. Just go to a open space and try.

The google maps has no config to be done for this. It just picks the GPS info as soon as it gets the GPS location.

If the package contains .ALX file then use the Destop Manager to install it. If it contains .JAD file then transfer all the files to the memory card and use the file explorer and open this .jad file for installation on the device.

Sajan,

For that you need to be in open space and try using it. It should work without any issue. Press '0' for knowing your current location

Cheers

I hope you have checked the GPS settings in the phone and confirm it is on.

I don't know much about call blocking apps, but you can try the one below:

Call Blocking App *****FREE***** - BlackBerry Support Community Forums

It says it is for Storm, so make sure it would work with others.

Hi ttrk,

I have tried all possible ways including Options > Advanced > GPS > Menu > Refresh GPS.

I also tired Options -> Status -> type test and from the menu key ran the GPS test but that also failed.

Need more inputs.

@ ashthedivx, can you pull another trick off again.
