+1 to quadra. I felt the same after getting a BB. I can do all my 'personal' stuff like emails and FB on the BB while work PC (& work hours) are best utilized. No distractions there as well!

Buy any phone you like & after a month or so u would be down with doing what a phone is supposed to do. Then its like how you make best use of the phone that matters.

Personally for me, BB has taken the entire faltu stuff like e-mail, social networking off from my work computer. I do all the personal stuff on BB which means I do more work on my office pc. And BB is taking care of all my stuff gracefully...no questions asked.

@ hiren: go for 9300. Best buy under 20k.

PS: Posted via BB
Almost the same experience except the fact that i use the office lappy for FB and TBHP but have shifted hugely towards BBM as i've reunited with my school friends and almost all of them have a BB ( 12 of them )

We literally post pics of what we're doing on BBM which is even more effective than FB and more secretive and safe too.

Check with Quadra on the forum. He too bought the same model recently.
Thanks Nishant for the tip.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

@hiren: Every phone has a limitation & so does BB. Let me tell you, the day results of BB are amazing. Decent resolution so u can share it via e-mail / on social networking. Night results are bad due to lack of flash. Having sad that, camera is not the end of the world.

Try 9780 else, comes for 25k approx. 5mp cam & other specs are better than 9300. Here is a comparison link between these 2 on gsm arena

Agreed, no phone at any price point is perfect. But if I am spending around 20K I would want as close to perfection as possible.
Thanks for the link.

It depend on your budget. Add 4k and you can get 8520 with lot of new features + 18months warranty from redington.

See the comparison on gsm arena & decide.

Personally, i wont go for 8110. I i had budget for 7k, i would either buy 8520 OR go for a nokia phone.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

The 8110 has no more official support it is close to 6 years old now and is at the fag end of its product life cycle. Unless your requirement is a basic company phone for emails that just does gps and not much by way of apps get it. Else please spend the money on the upper ones or just buy a base touchscreen. I'm not a nokia fan. You could also look at the sony elm my dad has it and at about 8500 its a steal with the screen quality and gps.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Srinivas i am an official blackberry agent in bangalore & have been selling blackberry for 5 years now,the whole idea to discontinue the oldermodels immediately was the track ball problem, most of the old generation phones had the track ball which would need assistance in 6 months, not all users had a problem but the ratio was more,
the phones that toi is selling has seller warranty which has no value as they don't have a service centre & anyways the problem starts only after 6 months,
the latest blackberry phones are very advanced & can do everything your pc can do,
i would suggest go for the 8520

Avoid buying from indiatimes.com as there were 2 individuals at the reddington outlet when i had gone to to get my BB repaired who were refused help and were asked to get back to Indiatimes.com for the warranty.

This is purely based on my experience the other day at the BB center.

True. If you want both of the above, the next in line is 9300 @ 17k approx.
