Planning to get either a 200$ q10 from USA or the classic. Can those who have already bought suggest the seller/ provide the link?

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

So just got the Q10 today. Mixed feelings. I didn't do enough research before buying. It'll possibly take a bit of use to get accustomed to it. Either way its not a big deal, this is my secondary phone, and it does emails well.

BTW if anyone wants to pick up a 9900 let me know.

A used one or a new one? I would be interested in a used 9900 as a secondary phone.

@roamer, downloading now, the internet is very slow or may be the BB server is slow taking ages to download.

Are people importing the BB Passport? Or ordering it from India?

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Yes, I was able to download and install BB 10.3.1 update successfully, overnight. It wasn't as smooth as expected though, as initially I saw an approximately 960mb update initially which I downloaded but it didn't install successfully, later a 1.4gb update was available which downloaded successfully. For this I had to delete a lot of stuff from my phone though, which was a pain.

The new software looks good but there are some bugs or probably I need to learn few tricks. I'm still exploring, however, will keep this thread updated on any bugs that I come across.

Cheers!

Sale comes up right after you buy one for yourself. I bought my Passport for $570. Last week it was available for $499 but, just for a couple of days I think.

Now its available on Amazon for $549 for the black one

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Prices at amazon.com keep on changing. However the phone being available @42K on amazon.in, it makes sense to spend the extra 4K and get 18 months warranty.

Meanwhile, having handed over the Classic to my Father(who incidentally is very pleased at the smooth changeover from his earlier phone, the Torch 9860) I have given up the BB ghost and bought a 1+1 for myself earlier this week. The only thing that I do not like is the 5.5" screen size, it's just too big but then the full HD display and the phone's looks and functioning itself are excellent @22K. Dare I say that outside of the BB platform, the 1+1 offers the next best typing experience.

I am looking for a good deal on a white one for the missus. It seems white is more expensive. I will be patient.

If I were you, I would eye the Red Passport. I have seen one in flesh and it looks gorgeous

Reason for picking up black is to look professional as my work requires me to meet a lot of new people and I don't want to be seen carrying a red or white colored phone

Hello bhpians,
I am facing a strange issues after updating my z10 to 10.3.1.
The phone is running very smoothly but after I updated the phone, my phone got discharged the same day (nothing wrong with that), and after that discharge everytime I restart my phone, all the chats (whatsapp, messaging, BBM etc) phone calls, contacts saved are gone which were done after charging the phone same day.

To make it easy to understand, my phone is not able to remember the events which took place after the discharge of battery (on the day of updating the software).

Everything is working fine if the device is not restarted.

Also the advanced interactions are not working on my phone, I have checked all the related settings (but I am not worried about it).

What could this be? Some software bug or something wrong with my device?
