MAverick! so you finally did it. How about you tell us now the difference between a Nokia and Blackberry!!. I dint know you were in Chandigarh. Which sector did you buy this from 34 or 22? I am in chandigarh for a bit. I cant seem to find the orignal holster. Did the store you purchase have OEM accesories?

congrats khannaji,
have been busy today, plus there's a problem with the trackball . have to get it fixed. I opened up the whole phone, very risky, never recommend it to anyone. Because my professional environment, my hands are dirty with cast iron & there was a lot of dust gathered below the trackball, but it still does not move, tried a lot. Have to give the phone for repairs. Lets see.

299 is Unlimited email (10 accounts), Google Talk, Yahoo, MSN, etc. No browsing, no third party apps, no google maps. Restricted use.

899 is Unlimited Browsing, includes mobile gprs in the plan. you can use 3rd party apps, Google maps, etc. basically download whatever's compatible with your phone & you can use it.

Ur call bro. Am on airtel.

mav for your usage i would say 299. All you need is email and MSN. You will hardly browse. I think its 15P per 10KB on airtel if you browse net.

With 299 plan you can use the following : BB Messenger, YM,GMessenger, Windows Messenger and emails of 10 different accounts unlimited. I am on the same plan as of now. So for a newbie, i suggest this plan and once comfortable move to 899 plan.

Congrats on your new phone maverick.
As for the downloadable installations, its a nuisance ive come to realise for any software you want to install. Mostly, everything has to be OTA & not through the computer. If someone has a workaround, please share it with us

When I was on the prosumer 299 plan on Airtel, I just clicked the Gtalk icon, and it automatically opened the browser, and downloaded Gtalk app OTA. Similarly for MSN & Yahoo! too.

The service books for downloading these must have already been received by your BB. If not, go to www. airtel. blackberry. com and send the service books to your phone yourself. It is that simple. Try and get back to us.

Citibank mobile app not working

Before I shifted to the BB Storm 9500, I was using Citibank mobile app on my Nokia N82. It was working perfectly over EDGE as well as WiFi. After I shifted to BB Storm, I downloaded the Citibank mobile app but the app does not work at all. As soon as the app opens, I get this error. EC04: Communications error, Check gprs settings @ Menu-Options-Advanced Options-TCP

I checked there and the APN was blank. I input airtelgprs.com Still the citi app does not work. I went to options-Advanced Options-Applications and enabled compatibility mode for the citi app. Still it doesn't work. Tried removing the APN again and try. Again does not work. So far, tried all the 4 permutations and combinations and am fed up and shot an email to citi support.

Anybody successfully using the citi mobile app on their BB?

P.S.: I am on the BES 899 plan FB, GoogleMaps all work perfectly.

Query for Quickdraw :-

Am I going to get my BOLD cover anytime soon? OR due to me complaining against you here, rules that out now? If yes, when?
