Just got myself a Blackberry Bold Unlocked.
I must say that it surely is amazing.

Using a nokia and now using a BB made me realize what I was missing.

guys activated the 899 secret plan on my phone but there seems to be a problem. if i click on the wap browser it opens up and says unable to connect to internet, check with service provider if problem persists. also if i use application center it dosent refresh and says unable to authenticate service.
also what is the difference between normal browser and wap browser?

I am loving my 8520, its been a week now and i guess i am beginning to understand why people get addicted. I have been using WM for 2 years and the Nokia 5800 for 7 months but if mail integration is what you need BB is the best i guess.

Any one knows where to get free themes for my BB

What's your pick?

welcome to the BB club. I guess this is what is addiction all about. Why dont you visit CrackBerry.com – The #1 Site for BlackBerry Users & Abusers where you will find a lot of free themes and background wallpapers that you can adorn you BB with

Where can I get the 8520 UNLOCKED with bill & warranty?
I checked with The mobile store and a few other retailers, all seem to have only Airtel locked phones.

Also need to get two BB's with bill & warranty for 10k or so, which model would fit in that budget and which retailer would stock it?

Had read in this thread few months back that Airtel was giving a buy one get one free sort of deal on the pearl for 22k or so, any other such deals on?

Had been to Mobile store just a while ago and had a dekho at 8520. The quoted price is Rs.15900. They are running a cash back offer of 5%. So, effectively it will come around Rs. 15200. And this is with Airtel alone
I'm a happy Vodafone customer and am not sure if I want to switch to Airtel.

Showed him my pearl for an exchange offer. Sales guy calls a vendor and quotes 4.5k with all the accessories.

@Sahil, I checked with mobile store as well as airtel guys. They do not entertain unlocking the model. And the warranty will VOID if we get it done from outside.

Actually airtel themself will provide you a unlock code. In no way will unlocking void your warrenty. Its just that to avail any service for a airtel bought bb you have to go to them and not rim directly so don't go there with a voda card in. Because the dumb reps will unecessarily make your life tougher. And sahil there's no decent berry (with bill) for 10k all of them sell it at absurd prices. May I know why do you need the bill (for warrenty or to show as expenses) so I might be able to reccomend something.

Hmm, how much one can rely on a sales guy's words is anyone's guess. After all, why would Airtel themselves give an unlock code?

BB experts - I'm planning to upgrdate from pearl to either curve 8520 or 8900. I would prefer the GPS capabilities and that is the only reason I'm shifting more towards 8900 than 8520. It seems the features are more or less same barring resolution, trackpad/trackball..etc.

Do you think its worth going for 8900? The price diff is significant (about 6k)
