Try wetting your thumb a bit and scrolling. Can fix it at times. Else look at cnn.cn for a replacement.

Try wetting your thumb and moving the ball around.

A friend of mine got a replacement off eBay for about $10. Thankfully, my 8900's ball is still going strong after months of constant pounding.

@mav2000,

you may use some sanitizer like himalayas pour a drop on your fingertip, lock / remove battery from blackberry and then use the same finger on the trackball. press deeply and scroll up-down-left-right. repeat it a few times, the debris would automatically come up and you can wipe off.

Try playing your music with the headphones plugged in & then open the menu with the blackberry menu button, select headphones in the list...

Perhaps thats it as it also gives an option to play via speakerphone even with the headphones plugged in & that option is switched on :P

i tired doing that but there is only activate handset and activate speakerphone in the menu :(

but the problem i have realized is with the port itself. if i dont push it all the way in but say about 90% or so only then it plays via headset :(

Is it possible to take Vodafone 299 + 99 gprs and use your emails, bbm, msn along with 3rd party apps like facebook and browsing instead of paying 1099 for their all access plan?

How much does the 1099 plan cost if got on a one-time annual payment?

Is it 1099 or 899? Rs.899/month plan if paid annually is Rs.6999 including all taxes. It works out to Rs.588 or something per month.

BB Eight Five Two Zero code

Got the code for unlocking the 'EightFiveTwoZero'.

Go to - Options -> Advanced Options -> SIM
Once the SIM Options is open, type 'MMM' 'EEE' 'PPP' 'DEE'
The options displayed on the screen will change now.
Now HOLD ALT and type 'MMM' 'EEE' 'PPP' '222'.

A small popup will appear where you have to enter the below code(numbers) and press ok (trackpad) :
Two Three Five Nine Five one Zero Three Nine Two Zero Six Nine Seven two Three

Since this code is only known to the operator, I am not using the exact letters so as to finding this post will be difficult! . (Use only the underlined characters)
