The usual contract periods are 18/24 months.
However some companies do offer 12 month contracts but good phones are not available on that.

Model Number is same - 9000, now it's available with and without camera! Good News for people working in corporates where camera phones are not allowed. Presently available online in ebay and India Plaza!

There are quit a few chaps importing and cracking the phones. They sell far cheaper. The good guys are really excellent. Even CDMA has the full range (mostly from Sprint) suitably 'doctored' available.

I decided to chuck the 9700 for now as its selling at a premium everywhere. Taking advantage of the price drop and getting a 9000 and pimping it the way I always wanted it to be. BLACK. Will try and post pictures by tonight. Everyone please expect a new PIN request from my end

Dude off late I am really starting to get annoyed with these fommy people. Considering that they are the only ones that keep BB accessories right now I would not complain but not only do they take your money and say stuff is on back order I saw something today that just made me feel its all outright cheating now. Ill attach some images so that you realize what are they doing.

So you can see they just conveniently increased the price before discount to 70% of the original price and now they are still selling at the original price saying that its at 70% discount. All their stuff is usually overpriced but I used to order it from there because it usually takes much longer to get stuff from abroad. But this is limits man they are outright cheating now. And see how there is no discount on their Bold OEM dock that sells the most? LOL

@Quickdraw,

you can also use ebay.in GlobalBuy where you can order directly from ebay USA, they usually ship immediately and it reaches you in 7-10 days and prices are far far better in ebay.in global buy as compared to fommy. I have tried it myself and experience was great.

Thanks
Anmol

I purchased from fommy only once in life and I have taken a decision never ever to try them (ignoring my 10 days waiting to receive the product). The car charger I bought from fommy was found in a local shop for half the price within a week, I still regret my decision to buy from fommy. Infact the product I found in the local shop was far far better quality (right from the plastic, cable, pin, sealing etc.).

@Quickdraw, i am surprised you ever thought Fommy was a VFM site for BB accessory purchase. I always thought it was expensive.

What pains me is that this retailers think customers are fools or what. Taking the Bold pricing as an example.

They slash the price of Rs.71K and outline the discounted price as Rs.32K whereas we had full page adds from BSNL and Airtel quoting Blackberry Bold for Rs.34990.

Poor marketing tricks which will get them nowhere.

Exactly I think I remember telling you that you could just buy a local moto charger to choose.

I never considered them VFM but we never had a choice actually. I am thinking I should open a online store or something because half the people keep asking me where is my shop.

Can someone help me with info on how to keep my BOLD clean from fingerprints, dust, scratches etc?

Is there any liquid specially available for cleaning or we can use some home remedy for a DIY?

Hand sanitizer. Put a small amount on your finger( not on the ball directly) and keep scrolling.

Mobike, most of the cleaning is possible with sanitizer. But if you are talking about oily and sticky fingerprints (suppose you use the handset while having some rich biriyani), try after shaves (without moisturiser) which will work like charm.
