Dropped my Blackberry face down and screen has gone kaput. Calls and everything are working fine.

Where do I get the screen checked and repaired / replaced in Mumbai ??

It's urgent fellows.

Gautam,

Either a BB service centre, Heera Panna or Alfa.

You might consider investing in this.

I just bought a BB 8520 .. its not really a fancy phone but fits my needs perfectly

Anyway .. I'm facing some problems with bluetooth .. I am able to send files without any problems but cannot receive them .. what should I do? Is this a common problem or I have a defective piece..?

You just need to learn the procedure for bluetooth use in BBs
In order to recieve a file, the sending device needs to be already paired with your phone & then you need to go into Media, click on the option button, and then select recieve file.

This whole procedure is for increased security. There is no other way to recieve a file.
Hope this helps.

My BBM status updates have been very delayed, for instance I have been back in Bombay for a week and people still have my status as the city I was last in.
Google returned results that said if you contact list is more than 100 there are lags. Is this true? And how can one resolve this problem?
I try and be picky with the people I share my pin with but it's hard to delete people once they are already on your list

thats true. once you cross 100 your statuses dont change for many people. youll have to keep it below 100 if you want your status to work.

oh btw MUMBAI guys - i discovered this place in opera house called colormii. they can change your blackberry any colour. they use original blackberry bodies which are coloured and coated in the us and import them here. the finish looked pretty good, as good as the original. they have many colours and you can mix and match as you like. for the 9700 it costs 3000 for the whole body. they also sell phones and exchange old ones.

id recommend them to anyone. good for personalizing since bb's are getting soo common nowadays.

At colormii, did you manage to see a BB with sunburst cover finish, just as you have on the guitars ?

Is that it? So that will transition a regular prepaid to become BB enabled?

How reliable is the BBM on prepaid?

Thanks!

Well, I usually download themes via Over The Air Links. As easy as 1-2-3.

Garmin and Google are available for BB, Google is the best one as garmin still dtruggles with old maps.
